- Welcome to the "AOE2 Golden Definitive Edition" mod.
- This mod contains three new Ages (total 7 ages); it has new units, new architectures, one new civilization with name "Egyptians", new buildings, new technologies and icons for all ages. It also contains 3 new random maps that are added to your custom random maps list.
- To play this mod, you need to follow the first two steps, which is mandatory. This mod was updated on 05/04/2024; UPDATE 107882, + custom changes and contains all DLCs, but you need to buy and install them to unlock the eight new civilizations.
ATTENTION: The mod only works for AOE2DE civilizations. Not compatible with AOE1DE civilizations. So whenever you want to play with AOE1DE civilizations, I recommend that you disable my mods first.
How to install:Subscribe to the in-game mods "Age of Empire II: Definitive Edition" (to start downloading them) starting with the name "AOE2_Golden_DE" created only by LiningGull724.
Go to bit.ly/3NdS3qa.
and follow ALL prompts to install the mods.For good fun and to know everything about the mod I recommend that you subscribe to everyone.

I cannot for the life of me get the mod to download with the in-game mod downloader. I really wish I was able to download it some other way. Are there any tips for getting it to download using the in-game mod downloader?
For others:
Seems like the mods get stuck downloading. I went in and deleted my mod-status.json file located in:
C:\Users\USERNAME\Games\Age of Empires 2 DE\LONG NUMBER\mods
then went back in and resubbed the mod to get it to download. Seems to work better if you do one at a time and let it complete
