I fear my life is in peril. Where I am or how I got here I have no recollection of, for my memory is fragmented and my mind scattered. I find it necessary to write down my thoughts for fear of losing them again. I don't know how many times I have drifted in and out of consciousness, or for how long I have been here. I see visions beyond this nightmare, visions of wood and carpet instead of stone and dirt... I hear rain.


Here it is! An Amnesia custom story that I've been working on for a great deal of time now. I'm thoroughly looking forward to hearing your feedback and watching your playthroughs!
Oh, and a quick shout out to Tom Waits and Bob Dylan for helping those long hours of level editing go by just that little bit faster.


  • Hundreds upon hundreds of hours of work; well over a year in production.
  • Around two to three hours of gameplay.
  • Fully voiced by talented actors.
  • Original scares, events and puzzles.
  • Highly detailed, tense and atmospheric environments, akin to the original Amnesia.
  • No cheap jump-scares. All scares are well within context and make sense, adding to the frightening ambience and not subtracting from the tension.
  • An immersive story, well written and highly open to your own interpretation.
  • New additional music, sounds and textures accompanying the original Amnesia content.

This is not a full conversion. I have no desire to make this a full conversion, the idea feels a little gimmicky to me and the technique of late seems a little over used.

Note - Amnesia: Rain requires the Justine addon.


I've uploaded "Version 1.0 Patch" and "Patch 2", which you can download now. All known issues should be resolved in these patches.

I re-played this mod today.
There's a bug with the new patch of Amnesia.
The big door wont open, one that leads to the chapel.
Found the key in the sewer, putted in the lock of the big door, but the
handle it's stuck.

This game was incredible, remarkable, I would in-fact say. The game started out as many custom stories, you're in a cell. But it was a lot more sophisticated than that after the escaping of said cell, with the puzzles in the Torture Chamber, etc. As the game progressed, so did the story, and it felt like a truly good story created by a team of professionals; not the four or five people mentioned in the credits.


I began to enjoy the game more towards the Castle area, it was really fun to play. The puzzles were standard, the scares however were really good and the level design was incredible! And then as I progressed more, read the notes such as the one about the priest, I noticed how much thought and care went into the making of this game.

My favourite part, was however, in the chapel with the priest that was talked about in a previously found note. It was an amazing, and unique idea. Sort of like a boss fight in Amnesia. And it terrified me, I don't think a custom story has ever made me that scared before!

And then the ending, the ending which would make Alfred Hitchcock proud. You were insane, it was all part of your insanity, it never happened. And the suitor you managed to trap, was just a regular person, now dead thanks to your brain's irregularities.

I would have preferred an ending which didn't mean hanging, but nevertheless, overall this custom story was absolutely amazing.

I would give this custom story a solid 9/10. For the story, level-design, grammar (Trust me its a big deal for me, seeing as about 80%+ of the custom stories have terrible grammar), the plot twist, the terror this game puts into you, and just about everything.

I hardly dislike anything in this custom story, perhaps if it was a bit longer, but besides that I like pretty much everything in this custom story, and especially considering the small amount of people that made this.


My over-all impression was that the story was incredible, especially towards the end of the game, it was definitely one of my favourite custom stories, if not, my favourite, which is why I am giving this a remarkable 9/10.

Amazing custom story. I would rate 10/10 but ModDB requires me to write a few thousand characters and I don't have that much to say.
However, everything from atmosphere to puzzles was perfect. The puzzles were not too difficult to figure out, but not insultingly easy at the same time. Wonderful voice acting and good use of game mechanics to deliver an extremely high quality custom story with a lot to offer.
I found that the hidden relics and secrets was a very nice touch to uncover small parts of the story along with the main storyline.
I certainly recommend this for anyone looking to play a good custom story with a couple of hours to spend.

A very interesting custom story. The Relics confused me very much, but I figured it out in the end.


The only real problem (a big one, since it was a game-breaking bug) was when I entered inside the chappel, and the ''fight'' I was supposed to have with the priest did not happen! The effect after the ''fight'' triggered, and I was unable to progress.

Hi, first, sorry for the upcoming mistakes, I'm french :
Well, there's the storage a and b, and the game automatically note the positions of the levers when we found them ; but the game note the positions of the levers in the storage a, but not in the storage b.
And I think note that is needed cause when I put the levers " I " in the right position, it's says it's right, but when I put the levers " II " in the right position ( position saw in storage b ), nothing happens. Could somebody help me ?

Damn I loved this I have already gived feedback on FG forums.

It's still one of the best mods out there easily. Professional mapping, lightning everything is just perfect! Long gameplay, not boring, really scary, boss fight is damn unique and ending I was wow. Really sad, but DAMN EPIC! Try this, you won't regret it.

Thanks for making this. You should be proud :3
