Post news Report RSS Amnesia: Fear in Hands Update #4: News, Gameplay & Languages

Oh, a lot of time has passed since my last entry in ModDB, but here we are, back again to tell you guys what we've been working on since our last update.

Hello people from ModDB and IndieDB.

I'm back again to tell that our last preparations for the launch of Amnesia: Fear in Hands hasn't been very easy. We finished the storyline script not much long ago and now, we're spending day and night to translate everything to English and Russian. The Game'll also be available in Brazilian Portuguese. But WHY is that so hard? Well... Here is the major new: all the languages'll have support not only in the subtitles, but in the audio too. We're going to bring voice actors and actress from Russia and Brazil to help us out to bring our game in all the possible languages. We're very proud of this, sincerely.

Nikita Malev is handling the translation & localisation of Amnesia: Fear in Hands to Russian. It's very hard for him to do everything alone, since it's more than 1200 lines of dialogue. The mistakes that Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs has made with the annoying letters and voice acting absence we have fixed with a LOT of story to tell, in dialogues, notes, diaries and, specially in the environment.

We've also ''hired'' a 3D Designer to create and develop NEW models (assets & entities) for the game. A lot of people has requested that acquisition for the game and we can't let this pass out in front of our eyes. So be prepared to see new models soon and, luckily, these ones will be totally exclusive for our model. DON'T WORRY if you're a game designer, we'll be launching the models here for free when our game launches, with support to multiple types of archive and game engines.

Changing the subject, we have been out for a while and stopped development for a short time since we were moving to a new Blaster Lizard HQ, here in our main city. The Macbook that also develops most parts of the game has broken and you know that every piece that is made by Apple is very expensive, so it has take a while to fix everything. We are now recording all the audio that we need in order to progress with the development. You can hear the audio files of Daryon Wolfinger in the featured Brazilian trailer version, for Link Support.

All the versions of the game will have support for the three languages, but the Link (or the newest name Linkr) will feature a little bit more of content (obviously for no price). We've decided to make this decision to share and help to disclose the platform to the public, that shall be released late this year. The Linkr version will feature some new levels in a fourth short campaign, after the end of the game. The Linkr version of the game'll also be launch some months earlier than the common version (Desura, ModDB & IndieDB).

Daryon Wolfinger voice is acted by Harry Mellor, the owner of a gaming YouTube channel called HatCHeTHaZ (it's very good by the way).

Thank you for your patience and have a good day/night!
