Pretty good. Makes Max Payne basically Dark Souls. I died like tons of times, but it is fun and challenging.
This is one of those mods that just makes you feel like you are playing the game as it should have been. The tweaks make the game so much better and keep the feeling of the vanilla game. If you want a way to play a more modern version of Max Payne without any of the major gameplay changes given by most mods, this is for you.
A subtle, yet excellent modification that introduces many welcome small tweaks to the shooting/slowmo dynamic and to the weapons.
Very welcome are also the HUD improvements!

During the early months and years after the release of Max Payne, a plethora of mods have been unleashed, many of them break the balance of the game and some outright ruin the experience.
This is one of the few mods that retain the balance and feel of Max Payne without throwing the atmosphere and pacing out the damn window.
If you want a mod to play through Max Payne again, then choose Ammo, it's amongst the best tweaking mods out there :)
