This is the older edition of the mod and the recommended version to play - v3.0 of AMK AE 1.4.1. It is being re-released because it looks like the weapon swapper feature added in v3.1 introduced bugs to what used to be a very stable mod. I am no longer able to support this mod, so v3.1's bugs will not be addressed by me, sorry. I recommend you play this version which was the most played and best version of the mod, not v3.1 - though v3.1 will be left up with a warning message. Don't use the ENB, it doesn't work on newer Windows versions - the default, non ENB version looks better anyway. Please also do not use the binoculars option, it is broken. -v1ld
AMK Autumn Edition - AMK 1.4.1 with Autumn Aurora 2.1
This is a merge of AMK 1.4.1 and supporting mods with Autumn Aurora 2.
The mods and features merged here are:
- AMK 1.4.1 + 1.4.1 patches 1 and 2 + English Translation
- AA2 (almost everything other than artifact detectors)
- Some features from ZRP (saves, fixes, etc)
- Smurth's Dynamic HUD (hit and breath effects)
- Rulix AI Pack (and a host of his other mods from AA2)
Installation
You MUST be running patch version 1.0004 of Shadow of Chernobyl.
The Optional\Shadow of Chernobyl 1.0004 folder contains a patch
that will let you rollback from 1.0006, see the README there.
Copy gamedata, fsgame.ltx, and _appdata_ from this archive to your
game install directory. Saves and screenshots will be stored in
_appdata_ with this fsgame.ltx.
Add -nointro to the launcher options. If using the Steam version of the
game, do it by right-clicking the game in Steam's list, then Properties,
then Set Launch Options. Enter "-nointro -noprefetch" without the quotes.
If using a non-Steam version, do the same thing by right-clink the shortcut,
then Properties, then go to the Target box and skip to the very end of the
text there, after any double quotes. Enter " -nointro -noprefetch"
without the quotes, after any existing double quote - but note that there should be a space before the -nointro.
If you're planning to run the game with Static Lighting, be sure to look at
Optional\Static Lighting\INSTALL README.txt.
That's it, you're done. Play the game!
Be sure to set the game difficulty to master, it's the way the game was
meant to be played and the combat is a lot more visceral and satisfying
on that level.
There are some options you may install, see the Optional/INSTALL README.txt
file for details. Do verify your game is running correctly before trying
any of the options.
ZRP save game keys
The following keys are now available at the main menu:
s - Create savegame named after level with gametime at the end
F5/F6 - Create savegame named after level with "_snapshot" at the end
l - Load last saved game
These keys will return you to the game, so "ESC s" is a great way to create
a named, unique quicksave - it is also far safer than overwriting a quicksave
at a bad moment in the game. Be sure to clean these up periodically - maybe
when you reach the next level.

being merged: the AMK, AA2, and ZRP teams for their superb mods.Rulix for the
large number of his mods that are in AMK, AA2, and ZRP - most of which are now

1.4.1 translation and a large number of fixes and improvements were provided by

Hi, I was wondering if you could explain where launch options is on a non-steam version of Shadow of Chernobyl? Like specifically. When I go to properties there is "Target" then a box with the file location of Shadow of Chernobyl, but if I input the -nointro -noprefetch at the end it just says to make sure the file is in the right location, can you point me to the right tab and stuff, please?
Nevermind, I figured it out. When you say "enter enter," at least for the non-Steam version, you meant two spaces. I mean it respectfully, but you should specify that for future downloaders, thank you for the mod though, it's amazing!

I'm having troubles with the ENB, the only thing I can think of that's messing with it is not doing the gamedata/shader-disabled thing right. I do it to the gamedata--->shaders folder. As in I rename it to shaders-disabled. Is this right and if it is what should I do then as everything I've tried crashes the game upon starting it and gives me an option to report a bug or something.
As it says above, don't use the ENB.

Hi. Is it possible to disable the minimap and the forced no sleep?
Both of these require editing the mod's files by hand. I thought I had added the sleep disable to the AMK mod menu though, did you check that? I think pressing A in the main menu should bring it up. Can't remember for sure, unfortunately. It's been too long.

after launching the game after multiple trial and error finally it work however when i start a new game or load a game and choose the difficulty the game just closes itself.

I can't remember anymore, but I think this is usually caused by not rolling back to v1.4 using the included patch.

There was CTD as my 'gamedata' was not """CLEAN""" due to presence of ZRP and thus I renamed it. Solved

Yeah, you need to install in a completely clean English version of the game. Quite a bit of ZRP's fixes have already been merged in and AMK contains many of its own, so you don't need to have ZRP with this mod.
The installer options file you're looking at is from the original Russian AMK. Those options are already merged into this version. I left the doc in there so you can read up on what is included.
As per the informational page, here, NPC can and do clean up boxes and stashes, I have read!
They recognise not only the corpses (which are actively looted), but also boxes and caches - they'll get everything you put in the cache, it they'll found it. It depends on the distinctness of container - items, hidden in the cache somewhere on the garret of the neglected farmstead, for sure will not be found, but it is here into the box, which stands in the Bar, it is better not to place anything - they will clean it up, as soon as you come out.
How to decide that the place is "neglected" enough? Any suggestions. @V1ld, I am running 3.0 and 1.4.1
Save game and experiment?
Backpacks you obtain from Sidirovich can be placed anywhere safely, if I recall correctly.
For the rest, find stash containers in locations that npcs cannot walk to or climb to via stairs and ladders. For eg., there's a crane on the left as you enter the gates to the Hangar that has a stash in it. I've never had anything looted from there.
Yup! Learnt it by losing VSS Vintars and 2-3 more in the bar!
First, I kept them there and roamed around that place for ONE WHOLE day and night. Even slept there. Everything was there! How CYUUTE!
Then, I went to the Dark Valley and "did" X-16 and returned via Cordon, meeting my friend and mentor Sidorovich.
By the time that I reached the bar, in some 20 hours, the whole stash was cleaned up of all the "good" guns! Sterlok's rifle was left behind, miraculously, though; considering that how much it costs.
That, surely, was fun!
Now, my preferred place is the stash under the stairs where those 5-6 snipers await you as soon as you enter Rostok. The one under that railway (?) coach that is surrounded by anomalies (but, was accessible in SoC) is inadvisable due to the massive damages they almost always deal.
So, now. Having gotten wise from that experience, I continue!

The 1.0004 patch is included. No, it won't be updated to 1.0006 as it's a bunch of work for little benefit at this point.

Hi, i'm having issue when launching the game after doing all the steps proprely. The game start, there is a black screen, an iner window with white border and black in it, then the game crash after a few seconds.
here is the past of the bug :

I did all the steps in the right order :
- Launch the game after first instal, made new game to verify it work, and it works fine.
- Downgrade to 1.0004 with the patch, launched the game and started a new game to verify, and it works.
- change added the "-nointro -noprefetch" stuff like said in the readme. Game still work nice.
Finnaly everything worked fine except when I draged and drop gamedata, fsgame.ltx, and _appdata_ from the archive to my game install directory.
I'm on steam version.

Okay, i've found it myself:
If you guys have the same problem, it's because your game is not in english on steam (Yes, even if your game is in english INGAME)
So for the french or others that get this problem, right click "propreties" of your game in your steam library, "Langage", and switch to English.

Yesterday I reached "Yanter: The capital of Crashes for AMK" (as I read somewhere).
The loading of the QuickSave 'invariably' crashes the game.
A hard save also, most of the times, crashes.
I am trying to kill all the Zombified soldiers before entering the bunker so that it is easier, when that chap comes out for measurements.
There is that Chimera-Electro-Animal (one like the one in the tunnel where we find the "Family Rifle" who just refuses to die: 100+ bullets from AK and MP5 and 3 defensive grenades, right under his balls but, he keeps running around and sending those explosions of electricity.
1. What now?

Deleted some files so that I am unable to play and spend my time elsewhere.
You can disable the Electro-Chimera's explosions from the AMK mod menu which you may have overlooked. Look for it in the main menu, not under game options.
And yes, Yantar is a problem in AMK. I thought I had squashed the crashes there, but apparently not if you're still seeing it.
I am experiencing the exact same problem with loading saves in Yanter. A quick save almost certainly crashes the game upon loading and a hard save mostly does the same.
Is there any hope we could see improvements to this in the future? I would hate to abandon a great playthrough coming back to the game after a decade or so. The mod itself is splendid.
Is there a way to make the colour palette from Autumn Aurora less brownish and dull? Love the mod otherwise!
The shaders are already set up to not do the default AA2 brown look. If not, it's a couple of tweaks in the shader files like so: Reddit.com
Save a backup copy of the file first.
Just entered Dark Valley for the first time. The Duty guy gets me on a mission to "Free The Dutyer". Within the first 10 seconds we're swarmed with 50 rats 20 boars. Even when we sneak past them, eventually and eventually reaching another Duty person (who doesn't have a gun), the swarm eventually gets us.
I think what's supposed to happen is the Duty prisoner is inside a building and there are bandits we have to take out. But I don't see any bandits. I think the map is overpopulated with mutants. Far too many. It screwed up the mission completely.
Is there a way to fix it? Perhaps disabling the spawning of mutants on this map? I can't progress otherwise.
Are you playing 1.4? 1.4..1 has much saner spawns. If you're in 1.4.1, try reloading before Dark Valley and re-entering.
I have an immense amount of flim grain, is there any way to remove it?
Worked perfectly, I was part of the AMK mod team way back, its great to have a more polished mod integrating it for easy pick up & play.

That's exactly why I did the merge, by the way: I wanted to play AMK and it was a pain to put all the parts together, or even to find some of the required bits. After I got it up and running, it seemed like a good idea to make it more accessible. The AA2 merge idea came later.

So you do not enjoy the autumn touch of the mod, is there a way to change this, I would like there to be many more days of good weather. How can I adjust grass render distance? I tried using the .dll from Autumn Aurora for 100m Grass Render, but it causes an error upon launch. Is there any way?

I notice that time-to-kill is greatly lowered, and weapon accuracy increased for the player's weapons... is ammo found in the world lowered to compensate for that? It seems like its not so far, and that would make it a much less balanced experience if it now: takes less bullets to kill --> but you still have as much ammo as in Vanilla
Also, if I could drop a bug report here & then also a wish: NPCs will walk into an anomaly to loot a body. Too greedy for loot!
My wish? A slightly more hardcore version of the economy - NOT too much, just so that not every friendly NPC has 6000 roubles and being able to sell nearly everything to them. Revert to vanilla rules? Pleeease <3
