The most radical mod for the Total War games now allows multi-option play, with new war machines, new units, and new weapons.
The new 8.0B features maps for the 450BC campaign, which is to be released pending the game engine evaluation of the Rome II game.
In addition, Dragour's text changes and Celeste strat re-balance are also included.
Will you also be making Barbarian Invasion conversion (Fall of the Empire time , from 350+) ?
Sorry, roman9441's message prompted us on check these sections, apparently your posting was made right where we were publishing the new 8.0C, so this thread was no longer monitored.
My apologies!
We can create a separate campaign for it, within certain limits, however, any changes would have to be in the world folder, so we are not able to provide new units for example.
We can certain try, the story line must be tight and logical.
If you have any suggestion please feel free to post them.
Thank you for your support!
So is the Barbarian Invasion expansion required or can this be run without it?
I thought I read just that it was suggested. I tried installing this on a 1.5 patched version of TW:Rome and it crashes on startup.
You need version 1.6 as is bundled with the Gold edition or the Steam edition.
Ok, clearly BI is required.
I got it and installed the 1.6 BI patch but when launching into the map, after the menus, it crashes. I think I haven't tried this B version that was just uploaded Aug.24th so I'll try that now and see (?).
Yay! It works. I was copying all the files & subfolders of straight into the game directory but I think they are supposed to be in the their own folder. No wonder I didn't see why the directions said you'd see the folder there but then the game would create that folder so I thought it was ok. Just wasn't clear to me but now it is, & it's working :) on windows 8 64 bit pro

Is 8.0B.11 the most current revision as of November 6, 2013?
Yes, 8.0B.11 is the latest of the Amazons Total War as of Nov 8th.
I apologize for the fact that we have 14 team mates, and to ensure the quality of the mod, we have to feed the changes piece meal with a great deal of testing, hence all the updates.
We are also under rating attack by people who have never played the mod but decided to give us trash rating (1's and 2's) for other political reasons.
So for players who provided the ratings, we would appreciate if you can up the the rating to offset this completely weird trashing of our mod.
Minor release #14 has been uploaded, with features to allow Roman generals getting rewarded with titles for strategical gains.
