The most radical mod for the Total War games now allows multi-option play, with new war machines, new units, and new weapons.
is there any chance you'll be making an amazon mod for rome 2?
Yes and No, a Rome II version has been worked on, but with the current limitation, we might have to wait and see if the new game engine is fully moddable.
If that does not happen, we propbably will go to M2TW as our new engine.
Yes, as a matter of fact, we are halting all development until Rome II is out and we can evaluate it.
We have already finished the modeling's migration to Medieval 2 Total War, but this is also not moving forward until Rome II is thoroughly evaluated.
But there are a few worries.
First of all, there are some obvious AI issues in the demos, hopefully this has been sorted in the release.
Second, like the Shogun Total War, the game may not be open to mods.
Third, the game might only be great looking if the player has high-end video cards.

We are working on a simplified version for Rome II, but it is highly dependent on tools available from Creative Assembly.
New Release is now 8.0 O, this download is now considered a stop gap release.
