Alpha Project is a Battlefield 2 modification which goals are to bring back all the features that were left out in the retail game. The gameplay style of the mod is a mixture of arcade and realism.

Hehe, well the QBZ series already does have a sighted gl version, thought the AK not, that gotta still be made or shared from another mod, if someone knows one?
I have a silly question, will you be able to put the magnifier on this M16 and 203
As it is now we have m4a1 and m16a4 regular versions aswell suppressed versions with magnifier selection for specops and assault, thought not for the grenadelauncher as of now, maybe that will come but im not sure if this will work out without new animations...

Similar responses have heard on the topic optics for rifles with grenade launchers. Previously, they were not there. No problem with the eager animators, just ask about help in Battlefieldsingleplayer.com
even with alot people want to see this or wont happen, this would add another 100 kit combination which are tons of annoying work and make the game load even slower, every new attachment needs tons of new kits and work not to mention balancing those...
You can always make things easier, no need to change weapon stats, and over again everything balance, making kits is simple if you know how. I do it out of boredom.
And if can not do this, then resign though with vanilla looking M16 and give her vertical grip, because this is a long gun, and with grip looks cooler, and "smarter".
With grip this weapon easier to operate, and many solders uses it.
i dont think you understand what i mean, our customization system is complex its not that easy, when this should be balanced then every rifle need a grip for customization so we need to add tons of new models, animations, kits only for the sake of vissuals, tha will take another year to do... this wont happen sorry, no vertgrips for customization, some weapons will have them some not you wont be able to choose it, thats how it will stay and i wont change my mind, there are things that go to much and thats one of it, i am already wasting half of my development time on customization, every thing else beside that is delayed and far behind, no single map is finished eighter because of this and 0.3 will never release if we add another item to customization, you guys all only want and want and want...
I understand what you write, but you do not understand me. You do not need new weapons with grip add to the customization. Set these as basic, for example, as it is now M16 without anything. Just change her image in game, where it is selected, that now has a grip, that's all. Adding grip is a simple task with mesh, with animators also no problem. You obstructing yourself case. Several weapons with grip, will not hurt. This can happen, setting as basic imo. make things easier.
Adding weapons and weapon attachments + tweaking and balancing also takes most of my time, I rarely work on any animations, textures or factions any more. :(
Grip make the gun looks ugly.
I hate them and it's a good thing that AP mod don't have them on every gun.
It's one of the reasons why modern FPS games are so damn gay.
Not all, some look better with grip. In this mod the problem is that almost no weapons in it with vertical grip. In BF2 sometimes due to the fact that the weapon has a vertical grip, you can not see mistakes by game-devs on models hands.
Modern FPS games are so damn gay because game devs, put grip on everything, and this is retarded, I just suggest adding a few weapons, like M16 with vertical grip, although some weapons may be with grip.
What do you mean with "with animators also no problem"?
If we were to add even 1 variation with a grip, then we will need a whole new set of animations for that specific gun. It is not as if we can just change 1 or 2 things here and there with notepad, because the animations has to be adapted for the new mesh. And we only have one animator these days who is already too busy to do this as well.
The G36c already has a grip on it, so you will have to be appreciative for that at least.
I mean, can be found willing animators on Battlefieldsingleplayer.com and ask them for help. @Develop013, recently helped in yours mod, maybe he will help? I checked, 5 animations, something like that if we talking about M16A4 without GL.
We have versions with:
-Iron
-Aimpoint
-Eotech
-Eotech + Magnifier On
-Eotech + Magnifier Off (Animations from here can be used in version with same Eotech i guess)
-Supressor (No need new animations for these versions)
-Elcan (whether this version is the new AP?)
That's all is there to do, without adding grip to customization, and obstructing yourself case. Several weapons with grip, will not hurt, the more so because in your mod almost no such weapons.
The G36C already has a grip, one gun in whole mod :)
New animations take time you know. We are already waiting for new animations from Develop013, and if we ask him to do the grips and stuff, then we will get even more behind on the actual stuff that matters, like doing the basis work of all the variations and so on. Like JONES said, this won't happen. ^^
I know that they take time, It do at first what you need, then consider my idea. I do not say that, now I want anything, may in the future as will be the time and people eager to work. Many times JONES said that something won't happen, what happen later. ^^
