Alpha Project is a Battlefield 2 modification which goals are to bring back all the features that were left out in the retail game. The gameplay style of the mod is a mixture of arcade and realism.

Description
Because of a few folks complaining that the MEC is not getting a lot of love like the Us, I decided to do an HD remake of the MEC skins. I doubled up the resolution to 2048x2048 and both of the soldier skins consist out of about 65 layers.

Why are they so mad?
I like the goatees, but one thing that always bothered me is that all MEC soldiers are depicted with beards, while beards are generally forbidden. Also beards are associated with religion, and beards without moustaches even more so, while the military establishments of most Arab states are secular (at least in role and appearance) or even anti-religious. When it comes to facial har, short-cropped moustaches seem to be very popular among professional soldiers and police officers.
