Description
A couple singleplayer levels now have you start with a small platoon of Colonial Marines that will follow you around.
Their AI is surprisingly effective until they kill themselves while standing in Alien acid. To make them follow all you have to do is be within sight of them and hit the taunt key. They also rush to engage enemies.
Nice. Will there be fellow marines on the first level standing at apc (Mainly for authenticity) and the next have them be with you assisting you in your objectives? Also you could try to find a way to make them immune to the acid so they don't die stupidly.
Yeah I'm playing around with that. Although they seem to kill the aliens in that final run in the canyon long before you reach the APC, so I'll probably leave them out or figure some way to keep the aliens and marines permanently separated at the end.
I can't make them immune to acid. That's something in the game code, and I have no way to change it.
Also, I just tried the same thing in one of the Alien bonus missions, Invasion. There's now an alien generator near where you start in the infested area of the map. A handful of aliens randomly tear *** through the first half of the mission, creating havoc everywhere. It's awesome.
Hehe, I just played through the map Invasion on Realistic difficulty and 3 of the marines stuck with me to the end. You can get separated from them and they eventually catch up on their own. Too cool.
i have put marines in to with cheats but they don't follow me even when i tuant
