AI Dialogs Mod (POC)
Demo 3 commentsThe mod adds AI-generated dialog lines for NPCs. Currently, it's used for some "greeting" phrases and responses to the "what's new" player questions...
NOTE: This is currently a proof of concept. Some things may not work, the quality may not be sufficient sometimes and even frustrating.
Mostly, this is just the idea with some simple and even primitive implementation.

The mod adds AI-generated dialog lines for NPCs. Currently, it's used for some "greeting" phrases and responses to the "what's new" player questions.
The phrases are generated in background, with some context from the game (such as current time of day, player's faction, rank etc.) This is POC, and a preliminary version with a concept.
=== USAGE ===
0. Copy all mod files to a game directory (e.g. C:\Games\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky).
1. Go to llm_bridge directory, run llm-bridge.exe
1.1 If this is the first run, please proceed to download an LLM model (the program will ask you). This will take some time.
If the download failed (can happen because of poor network etc.), just close and re-run the tool.
2. When you see something like "starting llama server" in the terminal window, run the game.
3. New dialog lines will be available in dialogs (greetings / answers on "What's new" questions).
They will be updated from time to time.
Open and read AI_DIALOGS_README.txt for the additional info.

Very interesting stuff. It would be pretty amazing if something like this gets refined to a point where you can speak to STALKER via typing and they reply according to the events of the game world.
