Ages of the Federation is a new total conversion mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion. This mod takes place in the Enterprise and Original series eras, focusing on the conflict between the early Federation and Klingon Empire. A resurgent Romulan Star Empire, angry and still licking its wounds after their defeat to Earth and her allies waits in the shadows, ready to take advantage of any of misstep by either the warring powers. The Xindi, new to the galactic stage are also eager to forge their own path.
Honestly I love these ships! They look amazing like this. Also I have a question have you changed their scale compared to their original size in the show.
The Cardenas is the same size she is in the current version of AOTF. Only her look has been updated. The Crossfield is larger, but not as gargantuan as she appears on the show. In the mod she's probably comparable in size to a Constitution-class.
Ooooo that sounds amazing! Um were you adding in any other disco ships? I think that the blunky nacelles (or at least comparatively) fit the ships as they are suppose to be ships in the four year war right?
I'm afriad this is it for the Disco ships. Most of the rest of the Federation fleet will be closer to the traditional TOS aesthetic style.
It's awesome to see that the fleet we'll have a lot of diversity. Is there any chance that one of the random encounters could be a m-5 connie like there was the Narada? Oh first time I fought that i was using only per-kevlin ships.
Anyway I love checking out these screenshots they are amazing.
They look great!
The Disco ship designs aren't bad per say, but they definitely needed updating to fit the aesthetic of the time period.
These look amazing.
Shame about no Nimitz class though!
So in other words they're bad because the designer made zero attempt to create ship designs that in anyway made sense for the time period in which they would appear. Shows just how bad the state of current trek is when modders, for no other reason than their love of the property, produce ship designs light years ahead of paid designers.
Honestly that takes takes the words right out of my mouth. I feel the same way but...i am a little too "shy" to be so direct?
Thank you guys for the kind words! <3 Took my time making these <3
