Ages of the Federation is a new total conversion mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion. This mod takes place in the Enterprise and Original series eras, focusing on the conflict between the early Federation and Klingon Empire. A resurgent Romulan Star Empire, angry and still licking its wounds after their defeat to Earth and her allies waits in the shadows, ready to take advantage of any of misstep by either the warring powers. The Xindi, new to the galactic stage are also eager to forge their own path.
The Battle of Klach D'kel Brakt - Kor leads his forces to victory, putting an end to a Romulan military buildup.
Klach D'kel Brakt, known colloquially to Federation stellar cartographers as 'The Briar Patch', is a vast and dangerous region of space close to the border of the Klingon Empire, marked by a distinctive, reddish-brown nebula cloud. Pockets of volatile metreon gas, intense radiation fields, and drifting stellar matter left over from an ancient cacophany of supernovae combine with a myriad of other spatial phenomena to create a truly hazardous region that has historically been avoided by most space-faring species. Indeed, it was not until the 24th Century that the Briar Patch was fully mapped, and even today it has yet to be thoroughly explored.
By 2271, the tenuous alliance between the Klingon Empire and the Romulan Star Empire was on the verge of collapsing entirely. A relationship based purely on their mutual loathing of the Federation, the long standing mistrust and enmity between Romulans and Klingons ultimately made a true alliance impossible. Despite a technological exchange and some joint covert operations to subvert Federation interests, after only three years both powers were actively seeking ways to stab the other in the back and tip the scales of power in their favour.
Klach D'kel Brakt, located in what at the time was unclaimed space, was well located for a strike against the Klingon Empire. Despite the many risks involved in traversing such a region, there were many advantages also - vessels stationed there would be difficult to detect, made even moreso by the fact that most starships avoided the area altogether. A force positioned among the nubulous hazards would have the element of total surprise on their side - an advantage difficult to pass up, even in the face of the Briar Patch's many challenges.

What is that ship above the D7? It seems... oddly proportioned. Can't wrap my head around it.
Klingon cruiser-weight carrier and planetary assault ship.
Is the model on it completely fleshed out then?
Is that one of those redesigned Discovery ships?
Not in this case.
I like the TOS era Klingon Bird of Prey.
