Ages of the Federation is a new total conversion mod for Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion. This mod takes place in the Enterprise and Original series eras, focusing on the conflict between the early Federation and Klingon Empire. A resurgent Romulan Star Empire, angry and still licking its wounds after their defeat to Earth and her allies waits in the shadows, ready to take advantage of any of misstep by either the warring powers. The Xindi, new to the galactic stage are also eager to forge their own path.
Still undergoing trial runs, USS Constitution returns to drydock following a less-than-successful engine test. Equipped with the most powerful warp engines ever built by the Federation, standard duranium-reinforced plasma injectors, currently in service across most of the fleet, prove insufficient to regulate the sheer amount of energy flowing through the nacelles at higher warp speeds.
Project Constitution was, despite all efforts, marked by several delays. The new Constitution-class design was more powerful and more complex than anything that had come before it, representing a significant leap forward in starship design and equipment. Unfortunately, these delays led to the Klingon Empire once more taking the lead in the technological arms race, launching the D-7 battlecruiser some months earlier.
