Description
A prototype Strident-class Star Defender conducts fire tests over an uninhabited planetoid, ripping into the hulk of an old Star Destroyer.
The Strident-class is one of the next generation of warships designed to replace the venerable Imperial II-class Star Destroyer. It is larger, much more heavily armed, and has both stronger hull and shields.

The Strident is a Corellian design, but becomes part of the New Republic's core roster in Tech 3, making it buildable from any world with a capital-level shipyard and a New Republic Membership structure.
