Advanced Warfare is a Sci-Fi mod for Red Alert 3, however, realistic gameplay elements, which does _NOT_ imply scientific correctness, like tanks taking more damage on the rear than on the front or the sides, or normal tank shots killing infantry on one shot. The story takes place around the year 2700 after earth. (In our years, that's around 5600.)
The XB3 Aurora is one of those units you really don't want in your base. It carries a total of 8000 pounds in at all 4 JDAMs. Also it has VTOL capability and you can upgrade them with Small Diameter Bombs.

aurora shares the name with same type generals aircraft add "borealis" to the name to make it unique
Why are we still using JDAM's in the year 5000 AD?
The weapon carries the same name...but it's not the modern JDAM.
