Advanced Warfare is a Sci-Fi mod for Red Alert 3, however, realistic gameplay elements, which does _NOT_ imply scientific correctness, like tanks taking more damage on the rear than on the front or the sides, or normal tank shots killing infantry on one shot. The story takes place around the year 2700 after earth. (In our years, that's around 5600.)

So a futuristic military has decided that, rather than reliable concrete, they will use energy fields to suspend planes on landing pads... and hope the power doesn't go out?

Sorry, random energy field use in "realistic" settings always bugs me a little. It's a great model though.

who says that that is energy? Just because it glows arround the border?

If it's glass, well, I guess that makes a small bit more sense.

so instead of using energy to power base defenses, they made some crystaline ferrite plates glow...

very realistic...

nice model though

well, it grows in form of crystals on that planet, and some glow bulbs arround that thing is all that lights the plates, not using more power than normal positioning lights.

That's like saying glass is cheaper than concrete (and it's not). Sorry mate, but I gotta agree with the others on this. It doesn't really make a lot of sense...

No, it is like saying sand is cheaper than concrete, which it is.

That stuff grows on the planet like there is sand on the beach.

Also, how the heck do you know anything about the fictional materials in this universe?

So far only me, Vengence and Anubis know the exact properties of the materials :P
