While AWAAP development is still paused, hope is at hands: "Bandits, coming in at eight o'clock high...break, break, break,........Gold Wing take those fighters, Natley and McArthur with me, we're going after the bombers....I'm going in on the leader.........got him! his starboard engine's burning up.....follow my lead men, tally ho!" ".......Damn it Gold Wing keep those fighters off us, I'm being torn to pieces......primary fuel lines been hit.....Jesus, keep them off me you bastards....those last two bombers aren't going to shoot themselves down....good God they've got the Bristol, her tanks have blown, she's going down!" A Wing And A Prayer is a total conversion for the Homeworld 2 engine, moving the action from space combat to early twentieth century aerial battles between a variety of fictional aircraft and airships, ranging from scout fighters up to ironclad super Zeppelins. Drawing on the style of games like "Crimson...

Wow. That thing looks AWESOME!!!! It's a pity you can't control it, though.

Theres a possibility of controlling it for one mission, but it makes much more sense in terms of both story and simplicity to have it as an AI/scripted unit only.
Hopefully that sacrfice will prove beneficial.

Nice, looks like a combination of the Bismarck and a space ship.

But also looks to heavy to fly.
Love the turrets.

This mod has very little emphasis on realism, the focus is on story and gameplay.

great ships.

but please dont name it Krieg. i never saw or heard about a ship called war. Maybe you can name it Odin or Wotan, these are gods of the old german barbarians. but please dont call it Krieg, cause it means war.

if you need good german names you must only ask, cause i am german

The ships the enbodiment of its namesake, hence the name.
Besides that I want to keep the German used in the mod to quite simple stuff, that people will generally recognise from war movies etc, even if they have no real knowledge of German.

OMG IVE ALSWAYS DREAMED OF A MOD LIKE THIS! I'm obsessed with aircraft, especially this almost steampunk style. THIS IS TOTALLY AWESOME! I mean, this is just so cool!

Description

An early sketch of the campaign centerpiece unit,
showing a rough scale comparison to comparable
airships. Clearly Krieg is the biggest, most
heavily armed and armoured unit in AWAAP and as
such is non-buildable and non-controllable. It
does however play an integral part in the story of
the singleplayer campaign.
