While AWAAP development is still paused, hope is at hands: "Bandits, coming in at eight o'clock high...break, break, break,........Gold Wing take those fighters, Natley and McArthur with me, we're going after the bombers....I'm going in on the leader.........got him! his starboard engine's burning up.....follow my lead men, tally ho!" ".......Damn it Gold Wing keep those fighters off us, I'm being torn to pieces......primary fuel lines been hit.....Jesus, keep them off me you bastards....those last two bombers aren't going to shoot themselves down....good God they've got the Bristol, her tanks have blown, she's going down!" Description

The ultimate in millitary airship technology, the
Dreadnought is a feat of modern engineering,
combining heavy firepower and massive armour with
lighter than air technology to make a craft that
is graceful yet utterly deadly. Packing seven
turrets and two heavy guns, the Dreadnought is a
real airship killer in a head on attacks but its
low speed and limited rearward firing weaponry
limits its ability to counter threats from behind.
Generally its superior armour gives it the
breathing space to turn and blast sneak attacks,
but if isolated (as can often happen due to its
low speed) and facing a large enemy force the
Dreadnought may soon find itself in trouble.
Equally its complete lack of anti-strikecraft
weaponry makes Heavy Bomber attacks the achilles
heal of an otherwise indomitable ship.
