While AWAAP development is still paused, hope is at hands: "Bandits, coming in at eight o'clock high...break, break, break,........Gold Wing take those fighters, Natley and McArthur with me, we're going after the bombers....I'm going in on the leader.........got him! his starboard engine's burning up.....follow my lead men, tally ho!" ".......Damn it Gold Wing keep those fighters off us, I'm being torn to pieces......primary fuel lines been hit.....Jesus, keep them off me you bastards....those last two bombers aren't going to shoot themselves down....good God they've got the Bristol, her tanks have blown, she's going down!" A Wing And A Prayer is a total conversion for the Homeworld 2 engine, moving the action from space combat to early twentieth century aerial battles between a variety of fictional aircraft and airships, ranging from scout fighters up to ironclad super Zeppelins. Drawing on the style of games like "Crimson...

Description

New coloured concepts of the redesigned Heavy
Fighter and Interceptor aircraft

Heavy Fighter (Bulldog)
The Heavy fighter is simply a massive improvement
on the standard Fighter. Superior armour allows it
to shrug off defensive fire from enemy bomber
aircraft as it homes in for the kill, while its
four .303 machine guns and two cannons give it
double the firepower of any comparable aircraft,
and even gives it a fighting chance against enemy
gunships. Again the only real weakness of the
Heavy Fighter comes in the form of enemy airships,
and although they might find it a harder nut to
crack than other strike craft any airship equipped
with flak guns will soon put the Heavy Fighter in
a world of pain.

Interceptor (Dart)
The Interceptor is the fastest aircraft in the
skies, equipped with a pulse jet engine designed
to give it a massive burst of speed and thus
allowing it to intercept enemy bomber formations
long before they are within range of friendly
airships. Once the jet has been activated and has
exhausted its special fuel the Interceptor returns
to normal speeds. The Interceptor must return to a
friendly carrier to refuel before its engine boost
can be used again.
