Absolutely beautiful, the cloth and leather work is exceptional, I also love the minimalistic plate armour, I think the gorget and spaulders are appropriate.

God I really hope Bannerlord comes out next year (I've given up all hope for a 2019 release) . Really great job.

Fantastic! I love these guy's design. It gives off an aura of a well-disciplined, skilled fighter. I especially love the smooth barbute. It adds a refreshing sense of simplicity and realism (as not every helmet should be decorated*). That being said, I am quite curious if there will be a less armored variant without a gorget like in JoshuaF's original concept. Great job and keep up the good work!

Glad you like it! The unit above is meant to be the highest tier unit in the Blackroot Vale troop tree (https://media.moddb.com/images/members/4/3382/3381587/profile/gondor.png) - the unit just below might well end up just like you described it :)

A fiefdom called the Blackroot Vale or Morthond. Its in the center north of Gondor. When Aragorn and co. travel through Dunharrow and the paths of the dead, they come out in the Blackroot Vale.
