One of the things everyones been clamoring for has been more troop diversity.
Lo and behold, it is finally here.
In 3.0 there will be three kinds of troops:
Light – counts as 1
Medium – counts as 2
Heavy – counts as 3
And every faction will have a setup based on those values.
However, every faction only has 5 points to spend, so an army setup might look like this:
Heavy Infantry
Light Horse
Light Ranged
Or:
Light Infantry
Medium Ranged
Medium Horse
Or:
Heavy Infantry
Medium Ranged
Heavy has higher skills, better weapons and armor than Medium, which has better than Light.
Besides this, you can check the changelog to see what other updates have occured.

I agree, those unique units added so much flavor, especially when they were taken from the lore.

Sounds great! this way you can specialize regions. Like go to Westerlands for Heavy Cavalry, to the Vale for heavy infantry, however balancing the factions will be hard...

With House Forrester being introduced will you please make the Forrester banner available as a player option in the banner selection menu? There are so many great player character backgrounds and options that are left open for a player to base a character background off of.

Ooh i cant wait for the sweet update. All those pretty pictures driving me GOT-crazy! I hope there will be some other gameplay changes, although i cant really think of anything really important to add, just minor fixes and balance i guess.
And PLEEEASE make durable lances, at least a couple of them! Like in the old warband.
And i wish the game allowed sub-modding mods, that would allow such freedom of customization of gameplay :(

Hey! I don't want to take up too much time, just wanted to say that I love the work that you're doing, especially with some of the limits the game itself places on you. Definitely loving the fine eye for detail lore-wise.
I know you've addressed this before, but I think it would be incredible to add whitewalkers to the mod. It would provide an underlying motive to not only establish yourself in a position of power, but also to unite to try and fight off the Northern invasion. They could have armies that grew very quickly, mass amounts of light infantry - that sort of thing.
Just thought I'd throw the idea out there despite potential triteness.

I must say, in version 2.2 some quests like the sticks and stones and a few others are bugged. So far playing this for a few years this has been a defining mod for Warband.
I have experienced better game dynamics with each version but in the end cool, neat, nostalgia things keep disappearing. One thing to mention is how the throne room in King's Landing was being used for gathering lords and ladies and many castles and cities had original, new rooms etc. Why get rid of good things? Also, why change quests that were fun and worked 100% of the time for the bugged 2.2 version with added small differences that make no difference in the game lore or the quest? Looking forward to playing 3.0 with the new troops although I love the troops now. New quests for unique items would be nice.
Cozur, could please give us a status/progress update? I know that we are all very anxious and excited for the next update and it would be awesome to know if you have a projected timeline or release date in mind.

So I finally started my 3.0 adventure, first event that pops up is about the berries in the forest, gave them to my men, last thing i see they are having diarrhea (-97 morale). Great update so far!
Plz , Reach army needs massive remake. Add to the Reach spearmans swords and remake that terrible helmet and armor . Compare Reach soldiers from S6|E6 with yours .
