Second preview for 1.1, this time taking a look at some of the various tweaks and bugfixes. Plus, plans for future versions, post 1.1.

Moat Cailin updateNagga's Bones

This preview basically deals with some of the various questions repeatedly asked during the last few months, plus gives a quick overview of some of the minor stuff I've been working on for 1.1.

First of all, I would like to point you guys towards the updated FAQ: Moddb.com

If you have any further questions regarding the modification, design philosophy and so on, feel free to PM me. But not if your question has already been answered.

Anyhow, while 1.1 contains some neat new stuff, it also contains a lot of minor adjustments. Amongst them:

Various updates to the scenes.
Loads of new items.
Various troop upgrades, to make endgame harder for the player. As in, all troops should now be a bit harder for the player to kill - which should also lead to longer battles, and more needs for tactics.
I've feminized all the armors, so they now fit the female body as well. Female players rejoice.
Re-done some banners, added correct banners for companions.
Finally got around to fixing the sea battles.
Also fixed the tournaments, you always spawn with a weapon now.
Also added various more sea lanes and the ability to sail across the Rhoyne.
Re-did a lot of the music.

Fixed trade.

And a lot of other stuff. All of it obviously noted in the changelog for 1.1 - it should be out soon.

For something more substantial, you can now acquire the armor of Prince Aemond the One-Eyed through a quest. Those who have read The Princess and the Queen will know where to look.

Also added the Iron Throne to King's Landing.

And made a new system, by which lords will defect to the faction that captures certain towns/castles. Say Dragonstone captures King's Landing, the lords of the Crownlands will then defect from The Westerlands and join Stannis. Should make some locations more rewarding to capture, and emphasize their importance.

And a quick overview of future plans:

The Night's Watch.
Expanded Wildlings.
Expanded Dothraki.
Killable lords.
New tournament rewards.
The Faith Militant.
Euron Greyjoy.

Illyrios MansePirate Den

That's all for now, don't forget to vote for A Clash of Kings for Mod of the Year:

Also another question that I would love to see answered:
"And made a new system, by which lords will defect to the faction that captures certain towns/castles. Say Dragonstone captures King's Landing, the lords of the Crownlands will then defect from The Westerlands and join Stannis. "

Does that mean a faction can be emptied like in native mount and blade where basically a faction only has the king in it. Would rather it be more of a constant conflict sort of thing rather than ending the game.

First of all, thanks Cozur for your effort to make this mod so awesome and continue to make it even better.
By reading your comments, i saw that like previous times...this new version won't be save-compatible with the one before...so since you post the preview for 1.1 in 4/12 saying "it should be out fairly soon"...i've been patiently waiting for it to be uploaded...i've come here to see this page almost everyday...maybe a couple of times a day...so now yesterday (16/12) u posted one more preview..refering "it should be out soon"...ok...so i ask, and i really think many people are curious about this:
please...will it be out in a few days?...weeks?...before/after christmas? (it would be really cool a few days before christmas)...maybe a month? (jesus hope not!) :P
Like almost everyone that played your mod...i'm a big fan of your work...and i comprehend it's not easy, maybe even risky, to make this kind of previsions...but please comprehend our anxiety too :P
Big hug and keep up the good work!

Can't give a release date, I don't know myself when it will be done. I know it's frustrating, but I just don't have a clue when it will be ready. Could be a week, could be three.

Question: Will 1.1 be compatible with 1.0 saves? Or do we have To start over?

Cozur i'm sorry if this isn't the right place to write this but i've asked this before and got no answer at that time.
Is it possible in future versions to implement the kingdom management system that is used in "sword of damocles" for mount&blade? I have played tens of mods since the beginning of mount&blade and i think i rarely missed one good mod. I still play "sword of damocles" sometimes just because of its kingdom system...for instance:
In there, once u become king, u can open a kind of window that lets u see all your own buildings, and u can initiate constructions and choose how many man per day u want to recruit in each center, even lets u cap how many u want to garrison in each building and choose how many of melee or ranged u want...it's really amazing. In another window called "strategic map" u can give orders to each of your lords like follow me/go to this location/patrol around/stay here. In another window u can choose up to 10 laws in 4 categories: nobility, clery, townsman, villagers. Others things: there is a religious system implemented with real consequences in the world; you can call lords from your "mainland" (=much easier to gets lords, who are so needed); you can form recruitments to do as u wish with warriors from your party; there are 4-5 contractable professional mercenaries (snake cult, black army...u can get good relations with them by doing different kinds of missions to them and then buy like 50-100-150 of them for the time u want to invest or contract elite soldiers); news are always popping up and the most of the time u have to make decisions for your kingdom...
Overall its a gorgeous system to manage your kingdom...much better than diplomacy...is to possible to create something like that or port this one to your mod in the future?
Thanks for your attention.
PS: The kingdom management system used in "silverstag" for warband isn't bad either...but can't beat "sword of damocles".

Is it possible to create your own kingdom is version 1.0 or 1.1 ? Cause I tried it in 0.94 but other lords would never deflect to your kingdom, so you basically had to run your kingdom on your own.

I know it isn't according to the lore but it would be fun to be ruler of Westeros ;) or perhaps I can simple adjust it in the files somewhere?
