88 Flak is a fast-paced combat mod for the 3D action game Freelancer by Digital Anvil. It aims to bring quick and brutal arena-like combat to Freelancer with Unreal Tournament 2004 style speed and years of refined Team Fortress inspired class balancing. In addition, it aims to expand the gameplay experience with numerous new features - including docking on player Battleships (use teammates as mobile bases), ability to hire AI wingmen, dynamic AI routines (88 Flak's AI is hailed to be the best in Freelancer), ability to script story missions in multiplayer (extremely beta), advanced graphics/audio, and more. 88 Flak has been in the works since January 21, 2005, and continues to be developed today by members of the community.

Description
Well folks, here it is. The last 1.27 beta, after nearly 3 years since the release of 1.26 (October 23, 2006). Since so much has happened with the project since 1.26, the full distributed release will probably be labeled 88 Flak 2.0.

I just downloaded the mod and it worked no problems until i got to the main menu screen. When i click first player it just crashes

Well i didn't like one of my mods so i deleted it, but on the description it said it was now integrated with freelancer.exe. So when i launched reg freelancer without any mods activated it still had the mods logo for the main menu so i reinstalled freelancer. When i wanted to delete freelancer it wouldn't let me, so i did it manually. I'm guessing that maybe the backups or something saved it and put them into the new installation of freelancer. If it is because of the backup thing how would i delete them? Then reinstall freelancer? or freelancer with the whole mod and the flmm?

It sounds like you have a lot of junk left over from other mods; some mods are messy and do not deactivate cleanly. I would deactivate any active mods in FLMM, delete your Freelancer folder entirely and do a fresh reinstall, after which only activating 88 Flak. If you're still having issues, please post in the 88 Flak Troubleshooting forums, where you will get a much quicker reply: Memes.no
hey can u help me? my crumy net is so godam unstable i cant even dload a 35 mb file!!!! is there a torrent file for this mod,if i can get a torrent it wil lbe easier to dload....please help if u can. oh and 1 more question is this a offline mod to play, i mean single player as well as multiplayer?? please reply asap ty...nice site btw
:'( i got da same prob as avient i cant play it da game starts and wen i go to press sp it crashes.... and i know its not da mods fault cuase da same thinged hapened wen i tried to use da mod antares ..... :(
i tired everything!!!! i even went manualy and wiped off every freelancer file i found realting to da game... will it help if i reboot my entire pc ???
Open up Freelancer Mod Manager, hit Ctrl+S, and delete the "restart.fl" file in your saves folder. If that doesn't fix the issue, please post a topic on the 88 Flak Troubleshooting Forum (http://www.memes.no/88flak/forum/viewforum.php?f=49) so that others may assist you.
