An entire mod developed in a week. Is it possible? We just proved it was. An enjoyable mix of ego-shooters, fast-based CTF gameplay and team base attack/defend. The progress is available on the Facepunch thread.

Yes, it'll be optional, as they're already working on v_models.
Camera looks a bit too far away from the character to me. It would make it so people would just stand behind a wall unseen themselves but being able to see right around it and then they'd stab someone killing in one hit.
