Siege: Medieval Warfare is back again!

Here is a little background on the mod if you haven’t ever heard of it. Siege is a medieval combat mod for Battlefield 1942. It is set during the 100 Year’s War between the French and English. Fight on open fields or siege a castle using a large array of medieval weaponry and vehicles.

In 2004 the last version of Siege was release, although still in an incomplete stage. A group of new developers started an expansion of this mod in 2006, calling it Siege: Medieval Warfare. The goal of Siege: MW was to bring new weapons, vehicles, buildings, maps, and more to the game; a complete revitalization of the original Siege mod. Unfortunately, early last summer this mod died without a release. Recently, a few of the former developers started working on the mod once again, and we are now well on our way.

As we are only a two-man team, progress is pretty slow. We need several experienced modders in the following categories(in order of importance):

  • Coders (for vehicles, weapons, etc.)
  • Skinners (ability to unwrap is preferred but not necessary)
  • Animators (rare but valuable)
  • Voice actors (for radio commands) –One must have a deep, English accent. Another must be fluent in French with a deep voice. Both must have any sort of recording device.
  • Bot mapper (person who can add singleplayer/coop to maps and code objects for use by bots)
  • Modelers
  • Mappers
  • Anyone else is helpful but not urgently needed.

If you are willing to help out in any of these areas please contact this email: sniperjack_jas@hotmail.com OR post below.

We do not currently have a website or a forum, but if anyone can design these for us we will be very grateful.

Now for the good stuff! Below are several renders to show you of new buildings, props, a vehicle, and a weapon. Many more models are currently in the skinning stage, so expect another update soon.

This is not exactly the same as the original Siege mod. It will be using all of the old Siege content, but with loads more added. It also has a completely different team from the original one.

Oh, hello. I didn't think any of the old devs played computer games anymore or something.

The original Siege was very fun, so we are continuing it.
Interested in helping out :p?

I was actually on the Fallen Times team. Unfortunately the mod is now dead because they didn't think there was a big enough audience(I thought there was ..). I did ask the leader of the team If I could use the content that wasn't released. He said I could, but when the forum got closed, things got complicated...

:o( fallen times = one of the only good and truely unique BF2 mods other than battleship, battlepaint and battleracer. maybe opk and dcon. the rest are either slow, boring, or just plane crap. hope you get siege going well though, maybe some good came of the others :o)
