I thought Garry Newman actualy was invited to work with valve, but I do know that Gabe Newell is in charge and if anything it is most likely greed that caused it. I am just saying Garry Newman because he is an example being known for never testing updates and breaking alot of modifications for his game. Also, if anything greed IS the culpurate, starting with tf2 and onward, valve has really started to just update for the sake of money and not even bother testing them because it would cost money.

I wonder… Why the hell would they just change the damn directory path and the engine? Seriously, half-life engine is already in the golden/final phase and does not need any other updates other than minor, tested fixes; plus why would any developer make everyone update their game just for a piece of **** operating system that does not even come with a video driver, and why couldn't they just make half-life for Linux without updating the majority and leave the windows OS alone? All I blame this on is Garry Newman’s lazy *** example of updating and greed being implemented unto valve, which means valve does not test their updates anymore and consider impacts on their customers. :( RIP Modder friendly valve.
