Downloaded the game and it crashes all the time as I am starting a new game. Anyone know how to fix this?

just changed mine back to 2.8.1 and it crashed just as I was starting a game with ruler creater.

Where do you put this mod at in the ck2 files? had the original and placed in the mod folder and it worked. Placed this in the same one and it doesn't show up? I am using steam for this game not the original paradox.

all I have in my crusader kings 2 folder is.....gfx, logs, pdx_login and settings.

Doing the dark sister quest line. Got to the part to talk to dude in east bay watch and it won't let me into the castle? any clue as to get to that step
