I am 26 years old and have been making games in one form or another for roughly half my life. Upon graduating in Philosophy it became obvious to me that making games was my dream so I started training hard to achieve a professional level of environment art and design. I was hired to work as a level designer at Bizarre Creations in April 2008 and I'm living the dream with them right now! I've also learned a lot about the various other parts of the trade during my journeys. In 2007 I joined two incredible amateur design studios. At Surrogate Interactive I have been working as head of Level Design on the (hopefully soon to go retail) project 'Brutal'. Towards the end of 2007 I joined up with Blackened Interactive to work on the fast paced multiplayer mod 'Project: Valkyrie'. Our goal was to create a retail quality mod in 3 months. We were delayed slightly but Project: Valkyrie was finished and released in four months. I now lead the level design at Blackened Interactive.

Slice off the 90 degree angles to smooth them out. You've gone for hyper-worn buildings so why are all the edges so sharp? Take some chunks out of it too. Do that across the whole mod for a major graphical upgrade.

Great start so far though man :)

Hell no! We're working but a few of us got jobs out of the mod and it slowed down production a bit. Things are ramping up again though. Expect more news soon :D

Why do these polls keep posting three options where two are reasonable answers and the third is rediculously extreme? I can almost never click on an answer in these polls that wouldn't be a lie. The idea when making polls is to cover all possible situations (or at least all reasonable ones).

Jesus guys... that really is something special. I'm generally surprised at special things when they come from your team, but this time you've stunned me. Well done.

Very hard to choose. I guess I prefer developing. There's not really much else in the world I can do for 48 hrs straight without getting bored for even a second. Even games usually start to get on my tits after about 12 consecutive hrs.

You know what... I'm fed up of people like this guy I'm replying to. It's clearly someone with a grudge of some kind. He's just registered an account so that he can make a negative comment here with no repercussions. Why do people have to behave in such a pathetic manner?

Good job guys, just need to work on improving the vehicle code over the interweb and you've got a great product on your hands. Have you considered some kind of mine? Not something that you would lay like a land mine, more something to cover your retreat as you run for your life.

I'll be working with all of the FLF level designers to add an additional layer of shine and gloss to the excellent work they've already done. Everything you see is WiP and will be even sexier by release day :)

Just go into the gameinfo.txt and change the appID to 218. We're a bit busy trying to get new maps, weapons and game modes to you in the next few months. When we have something to send out with it we'll do a patch but you really don't need one since it's as simple as what I said above.

You also need to download the new Orange box SDK base in the tools menu.

Also bloody hard work is what really got this mod made. All the talk in the world about fancy design processes comes to nothing if you don't get seriously stuck in. The people who worked on this mod all absolutely beasted themselves to get this thing done.

Tom no offence but you need to grow up mate. These people have worked damn hard to make something for FREE for you. Don't treat them like poop. Software has bugs, that's just the way things go. They will fix, you will play.

Just so you know, we didn't 'sell out'. Nobody on our team made money out of Fileplanet. The aim was simply to reach the maximum number of people. Like it or not a front page add on Fileplanet can do that better than pretty much anything else short of Steam News.

We want people to play the mod so that it's more fun for everyone :)

If you really hate Fileplanet THAT much you can wait a few more hours and there will be other places to download it. I guess what I'm saying is...

Chill out and enjoy, no need for all this stress :D

You will be able to play without Orange Box in about 2 weeks. I'm sorry the Valve patch didn't come out in time for release. But when it does you will be able to play.

By the way. I can't recommend the OB highly enough anyway :D
