"Spread freedom and democracy" is satire.

Are you looking at using something like the Floris Modpack or other modpacks as a guideline for the sorts of mods and code you can acquire for use in this mod? A lot of the stuff you mention being planned in the description of this mod is available in that pack (Floris), and would save you a fair bit of time if you source some material from mods located in those packs.
That said, this looks like it will be great.
