There will be lights, but they are only in the central part of the marshes, so you cannot see them on this screenshots which are from the northern border.
Finally, you'd not really need to avoid the lights, if you tap into a pool, the dead faces will pull you down.

Yeah, the water on that screenshot has been already overworked. What you can see on the screenshots here is actually the new water, however, it's with a running water mesh so it looks a bit otherwise.
In the central dead marshes, the water will be nearly not moving.

That project sounds quite promising. It seems it has a complete new landscape, story, lore and so on. Is this a full-conversion or an Plugin to Skyrim. Will I be able to play my Skyrim-Charakter in Ethas or do I need to create a new one.

Yeah. Thank you both for the hints. Maybe, a custom weather type could bring some help as well.

The water will be improved - we'll create an individual water type for the marshes. Concerning the greenish fog, I'm not sure whether that wouldn't look to unreal. However, It'd be worth a try.

The lake itself isn't that deep because that would not be realistic for a swamp. You'd also not be able to see corpses on the ground if it were deep. However, we will have to create anything that avoids you to go to that waters. Any script will be neccesary as you say, but we have no detailled plan about that yet.

Those are the Dead marshes in fact. The trees are partially self-made, partially, we used the reach-trees

You should keep in mind here that potatoes are exactly mentioned in the books, so we can be sure that Arda isn't limited to "Old-World-Foods"
