Yes, but to do a campaign takes time and effort. A lot of people signed up to the last one, but very few actually played. That means it was not really worth the amount of time I put in to building a site and forums, along with administering the campaign.
Also, the lack of player activity between campaigns would signal that there is little or no interest in running a second. If you want a campaign then there needs to be enough player activity to justify running it.
We generally play at weekends, but both the Firststrike home site and rebel defiance site have dedicated threads to announce if you are heading on the servers. This can sometimes be enough to bring out another couple of players.
You can also increase the numbers of bots by editing one of the mods files. If you are unsure about doing this, I can increase the bots on the servers co-op maps to make it more challenging.
Don't forget, next round of the campaign kicks off at 8pm GMT, thats just an hour and a half away as I write! With both factions now controlling a galactic sector, these upcoming battles could be crucial in deciding the fate of the galaxy. Make sure you get online tonight to join us! We usually stick around for a few friendly games afterwards as well, so from around 2200 GMT newcomers to the mod may find this is a less objective focused time to come and ask some questions about how to play some of the maps.
Yup! So, get involved and support your campaign! The more players we see, the more likely we are to invest in larger servers, but we do need some community support to do that. If we start seeing this player increase during the week as well as at campaign nights, then I may even come up with a way of including those results in future campaigns ;)
As Talon and yone said, tehre are three servers up, all of which I have arranged and one of which can be donated to via Talons link. If you cannot see the servers then you have your settings incorrect. Please go to the website link and download our help file which will show you how to place your server settings to detect them. If they still don't show then I suspect you have not correctly updated BF2142. Again, the site can help guide you through this.
This weeks campaign rounds include Jundland Wastes, another key map. Victory here could stop the Rebels gaining further control. If they do succeed here, then nothing will be able to stop them launching their death star attack and taking control of the galaxy!
Yes it does, I am using the Origin version. Check out Rebeldefiance.clanteam.com for some answers, if you can't find the downloadable help file with the information then let me know and I will tell you how to correct.
You will need the cd because the mod is not able to update to the new .exe file since 1.51. You can correct this by a simple file rename though. Rebeldefiance.clanteam.com should have the information in the downloadable help file. If not, I can tell you how to do it.
**EDIT**
Please try to update again, the server had been compromised but has now been restored. We are currently looking in to setting up a redundancy system.
hmm. Ok...Can you please try registering with the rebel defiance forums then? Rebeldefiance.clanteam.com
Sorry about the delay in replying, last minute essay due! Get registered on there and I will get you sorted out bud.
Sometimes happens if there is an issue server side. Try it again now its had a few hours. If not, go to the site forums and post on there. If you are still having issues I can upload a zipped version of the up to date launcher for you.
Don't forget to actually register for a team guys, it WILL make a differance to the campaign. We've arranged it so that each team will earn points even if they lose, but for every player that has not registered for a faction, that team will lose points. Should make things interesting as it goes on!
Rebel Defiance server now has a dedicated website. It is an ongoing process but will house a help file (eventually) plus links to all the required files. There is also a forums section for those that wish to start getting involved with the upcoming campaign.
Using the FS launcher, click file, preferences and in the field called arguments type +szx 1920 +szy 1080 replacing the numbers with your own monitors native resolution.
Sorry, been away. I am currently starting ideas for a new campaign hosted by the FirstStrike team on our own forums. Registration will not be neccessary, just beneficial.
Start the mod with the FirstStrike Launcher, but do NOT press the launch button. Click on File then preferences, in the box that says version it should read 1019. If it doesn't then your mod has not updated for some reason. You can also set a custom resolution here, in the arguments box simply type +szx 1920 +szy 1080 but replace the numbers with your own desktop resolution. Then click apply then ok. Hit launch and the mod should update itself, if it doesn't (eg says error connecting to server) then please report back so we can investigate further.
This is also much easier and far quicker to get answers to if you register and post on the forums at www.fsmod.com.
Thanks to all the new players however that ARE enjoying the mod so far and are willing to persevere through some of these minor issues to get a great mod experience!
There is only one now. I have been forced to close down two due to lack of activity.

Yes, the mod has some working co-op and singleplayer maps with bots.
If you install the mod you can still play regular 2142.
Jumping on now ahead of the campaign start :)

Do you play vanilla 2142 and do you have any issues in there? I would suggest the first thing to try is manually update punkbuster: Evenbalance.com
If that doesnt cure it please post back or preferably as Talon says check the forums, or open a new post as its much easier for me to help you there.
We will be playing some games tonight so please try to join.
