give the guy a break, he doesn't do this for a job and most certainly isn't being motivated by this. . .the best thing to do is just hold off on the consistent posting. . .he will let us know when he is releasing it. .. constantly asking is not going to get anywhere.

While possible, I think we are going more with classic troop designs. We also have a few more photos of the classic troops to make our models off of. While the helmet is cool, some whole body shots would make for a more accurate model.
On that note, who else will go see Star Wars VII no matter how bad it is? *raises hand*

We definitely want to make a clone wars era, but customizable troops may or may not happen. Loadouts perhaps, but as to the actual troops, that is less likely. Also, glad you like the page!

We cannot yet say what the exact minimum requirements will be. It depends on how efficiently the engine handles all of the maps, graphics, etc. I would love to be able to lay down the lines for this, but even we are not certain yet. Once we have things finalized, we will be able to give a better estimate in terms of how much performance will be needed. If we decide to recruit extra testers, I'm sure the team knows there are many volunteers! For now though, we just need to get stuff made to test in the first place. How did you like the moving picture, though? Advanced technology indeed! :O

Perhaps it could be, but most previous battlefronts (Battlefront 1 & 2) both had a sprint mechanic. It is almost certain we will add one. Boost now, thats a little more debatable. Assuming you refer to the vehicle boosts, it did seem odd for an ATST to suddenly start moving forward at virtually twice the speed, for vehicles like speeder bikes or aircraft, it made sense. If vehicle boosts return, perhaps we could try to only give it to vehicles that make sense to have it. All of this is speculation, of course, but I can say that you can expect a sprint feature for infantry.

I know, we all want to enjoy it, but making repeated posts asking for him to finish is not going to do anything. He has said he intends to finish it. With his reputation, that means he is going to finish it sooner or later. We just have to wait. *broken record effect still in action*

Thanks! Mando did a good job on the site and we couldn't have asked for anything better. The update, when released, is usually a trigger for loads of conversation between individuals. Trust us, it can fill up quickly when we give people something to talk about! :P

Keep im mind that if really wanted to, he could stop the mod altogether and we would have no right to say anything to him. While he has stated he does want to finish it, we cannot tell him how to spend his time. I want to play it just as much as you all, but unless we pick up C+++ and help, it is all up to him.

Sorry if this comes across as offensive, but if you feel you can do it better/faster, then join the team and help. If not, let him finish the project he is working on with no pay, no compensation other than seeing the number of downloads and comments. Much as some people disbeleive, we gamers/computer geeks/tech gurus indeed have lives, and we cant spend every minute doing everything. "Train him, I cannot. . .No patience, has he."

It is not as though he does this for a living, this is a hobby. Yes, it theoretically could have been released by now, but if you REALLY want to get the mod released sooner, the only thing that will work is joining the team and helping. I'd help but my skills are such that I would be asked to stop ruining things. XD

It's always a pleasure to hear of the dedication you guys have given us! To have this devotion in a fan base is incredible! This game also rather depends on it. Since we cannot truly advertise in conventional ways, we are relying on the community to tell others, to make posts places, etc. Every single battlefront fan has hungered for the sequel that has been dangled in front of them just out of reach. . .it is beyond doubt that we will do the utmost to bring you a worthy title. We cannot wait to share this game with you all! (of course we still need some time for things so. . .enjoy some uj cake?)

Most of them appear to be ready, but we may still have to deal with the clipping feet issue, which isn't really major in my opinion and will hardly be noticed while playing.

I have talked with Wulf and he says it will likely not receive a full, proper release, but will, instead, be a partial release. Not as complete as if he had the time and resources to do everything he wanted, but complete enough to achieve what he wants to have at the least. He does not have a time window for this partial release, however his exact words are as follows. . .

"I can not and will not make any promises about seeing TCW to a full proper release. I simply don't know what my complicated future will hold. I will however say this much, I want to get enough of it finished so it can be released. It will be an unfinished product and never reach the full scope I had originally planned. However, I do want to make good on the idea that I always release mods I announce (with the exception being my canceled SWBF3 mod that I quit once DICE announced the official SWBF3)."

We hope to release a working Alpha version sometime this year, 2014. The actual window is rather large as we cannot be certain when this elaborate electronic puzzle will be competed. I can tell you now that the artist are just as hyped to see things coming together as you are! It will be an exciting advent when we are ready to share Battlecry with you all!

To alert people that is in progress. This way, people will know about it and be able to see how it is going before release similar to how game developers release tidbits of information to generate excitement for their game, or in this case, their mod.
