The idea of a realism mod for L4D actually doesn't appeal to me; I think Valve very carefully considered how the non-realistic bits of the game would be necessary for teamwork and tested the game extensively with far more realistic versions. Obviously they decided that the fun is more important than being close to reality.
Besides, it's the zombie apocalypse. "realism" doesn't quite fit, ya'know?

Oh man, this reminds me of playing capture the flag as a kid, with the "jails" that you rescued people from... this concept has made my day, and I'm downloading it now. If I enjoy it, this is most definitely getting my vote.
