The 2.1 patch should have fixed the white UI problem, either way just delete the m2tw/mods/Third_Age/data/ui/battle.sd folder ;)

Assassin's Creed Brotherhood is a sequel to Assassin's Creed II. Only the point is there isn't a new ancestor - it's still Ezio Auditore.
