This last pic was taken long before these pictures were posted on moddb, so it may look somewhat incomplete:

Thanks bro! I have been working on them for about 2 weeks now; I guess you also know that creating new 3p skins take a lot of time :(

I agree, 1p hands also take a lot of time, especially if you want to make new gloves from scratch in good quality.
At the moment I'm working on them, and then I have to do kits, it will take some time. I would like to finish my multicam quickly but can not :/

I haven't yet tried to make new gloves from scratch, but I can imagine that it can take some time! These MEC textures are also basically recreated from scratch, except for the armor vest and boots, so I think it's similar in terms of time that it takes. For me, the biggest problem is not time, but rather motivation...I could have been done a week ago with these MEC skins, but it's hard to force oneself to do something that is a very long process :(

I know that feel. Very long process, and without guarantee of success, sometimes work looks extremely cool in graphic programs, but in game... . This really can annoy.

That's so true friend, I had to redo a lot, and I mean A LOT of bits here and there with the MEC skins just because they looked wrong and different ingame. One thing that is by far the worsed part of player skinning is when you do your layout on the .dds, but when you view it in meshviewer, you can see that the texture gets messed up at the areas where the UV maps were cut..but what sometimes help is to take a break for a few days or maybe do like 2 projects at once to switch work incase you don't wanna go on with your main project. In case you are interested, I recently mastered the skill of creating OS textures/normal maps (I assume you know what that is) for soldier skins. So if you see that the shadows don't fit with the skins of your soldiers, just let me know, I'll make some for you. :)

You're right, I also use meshviewer, very cool program.
BF2 editor also sometimes is useful, but I prefer to use meshview. Thank you for the offer of assistance with the shadows, may be needed :)

Description

I think that it's about time to give some attention to the MEC. I hope many of you will like this update. I am trying to keep as close to the vanilla one as possible, with the only goal of making them HD. Please note that this is a W.I.P, so anything that you see here is not final. Watch this space for some more character skin updates in the near future. And yes, this is going into Alpha Project!

Please share your ideas and tell me what you guys think. Suggestions are very welcome!
