Hey guys. App here, one of the testers for RaW atm (Yes, I got approval to post this from Z, dont go voting me down :p)

Just to clarify something I misunderstood, there is NO STORY CAMPAIGN in RaW. There are multiple GC scenarios during the Clone Wars, from the beginning to Order 66. But there is NO actual story campaign like in FoC. Now its not too heartbreaking either, the FoC Campaign was crappy anyway, admit it! :p So, dont go freakin out here and post saying your campaign button isnt working when RaW comes out xD

We need EEAW accounts because there will be a forum on the site for the beta testers. Its basically going to be our HUB.

Btw Z, the majority of the Moddb testers (myself,Katy,you1enjoy1myself, etc.) still cannot see the forum yet. The people there are telling us it should be right on the index when you first log on at the bottom of the page, yet we're all blind xD. Could you give a list of us to one of the admins so he/she could give us access? Thx :)

The easter egg is the Dusty Duck... the roundish ship on the far right with the fins on its side. Its a smuggler ship featured on Tatoonie in Episode 1. Remember that deleted scene where Qui-Gon cuts the Sith probe droid down, following by Qui-Gon and Anakin dashing past a landed ship? Thats the Dusty Duck...there was actually a Hyperspace contest a LONG time ago on Starwars.com where someone got to name the ship so it could be put in the Databank. The min Z said it was from the Databank, I thought of this...lol. I remember spending hours in my middle school years browsing the Databank... Thanks for the childhood memory Z3roX :)

We are already getting some fancy death animations for many units. Z said awhile back if he went further, it would take more time and, as stated above, cause immense lag. We cant be TOO realistic in a video game, otherwise we would never leave our computuers :P

Ok, lets break that this beta issue. First off, Z3rox has already stated why he does not want a public beta. So the "haters" have no right to claim he is ignoring them because he obviously isnt if he has read and COMMENTED on your opinions. Second, Z has said that he will NOT answer questions about installation and gameplay. If he were to make a public beta, he would have a flood of questions dealing with both of these issues. Anyone who says there wouldn't be is a complete fool. Yes Z can make a quick readme for installation, but he has stated RaW's new gameplay is complex and users need a manual, given there will be no tutorial. Yes the complex issue is debatable, but we dont know Z's work and he is trying to do what's best for us. Lastly, the community here is unstable. So many people want to just see the big red download button and nothing else. How many people are truly going to give feedback? How many are just going to give demands and not reports? And if a majority of people are not told the basics of the game,how they going to report bugs? Bugs are reported in relationship to overall content people! Z can drill a small group alot easier than a huge community. The fact he is hand-picking people means he will be assigning "jobs" to each person in regards to beta testing. This is his preferred method, so let him do it for goodness sakes. Would it really help Z if his fans continue to argue with him on how to test his own work ? .....

One more thing. A kiss *** usually refers to a suck up who uses a friendship for his own selfish benefits. No one here is really being that. Most of the "kiss *****" are just people ****** off at how selfish and demanding this community is becoming, especially for something that is free. If we have came so far to label one who just brushes off disssapointment over a small thing in their daily lives and encourages others to continue to pursue their goals, then our culture is seriously ****** up.

I am appalled at the degeneration of this chat. Everyone is so freakin impatient about this mod that its degrading the mod's popularity, which degrades the mod itself! Remember how overhyped MW2 was? Remember the LONG wait for Starcraft 2 ? See the comparision between a rushed product and a good product?

I think people need clarification on what a mod actually is. It is a USER-created add-on to a previous professional work. Z3rox's work here is not professional. He did not sign any contracts for the marketing of his work. He is not forced by any law to share his product, making it his PRIVATE property that he is not inclinded to share with anyone! He is sharing it out of generously and to give himself a good name on the internet...a reputation he is CHOSSING to have. Meaning, the community has no rights to demand the release of his product. Shocking, isn't it? WE HAVE NO RIGHTS, unless Z here gives it for personal benefit, aka 25 mod testers and the manual designer. Z will work the pace he so desires, because you are not going to pay him a cent for his product. We have a freedom of speech to voice our opinions, but Z does not have any obligation to submit to them...

Releasing a beta to the entire community is not going to work, especially with a community in this state. I know this for a fact, as Thrawn's Revenge tried this and got its forums flooded with arrogant ***holes complaining it wasn't balanced and concluding the mod was worthless. Now, what do you think would happen to Republic at War bug forum?...

I am sorry I ranted on this, but this is just ridicious and is giving Z and RaW a bad name. And I thank all those who have respected Z, especially those who have waited a LONG time for this mod. Unlike me, who has waited a grand three months for it. The point is, let Z work on his PRIVATE property at the pace HE desires, or, in the words of Corey, procede to find someone who really cares....
