that red line is in the debugged build to show the forward vector of the player. this is used for our particle so we draw only particles in the players view thus preventing wasteful rendering of particles.

suggestion for the texture:

maybe use a normal 64x64 texture and in photoshop tile the texture and use the clone and heal brush to remove the edges so it looks continus then you would apply the reflection of the sun, i guess screen blending would do.

also, did you guys use a photo of a lake or something?

Asides from better looking maps. the models and the sword looks uber sweet.

its one of the worst examples of using high dimension textures. that water doesn't look like water and, correct me if i'm wrong, the effect the water is trying to create is one of a reflection.

robbers, can use AK-47s. its been done in real life. do you remember the north hollywood heist? those guys had body armor and ak-47s. the weapon selection for the robbers reflect weapons that should be able to get on the black market or civilian gun shops.
