Hey there guys,

This game itself has had mixed reviews, from googling it today for the first time in 4 years, I've come across people who think the Modification itself is worthless, and "Should not be called a Mod." Others have said that they enjoyed the concept, the idea but the implementation could be much better.

It's been 4 years since I posted this game, and since then (it being my first Modification) I have gained more experience since its creation. I've dealt with other Game Engines, experimenting with Unity and UDK, I've also gained a vast understanding of 3D Modelling.

With this, I plan this year to work on a recreation of this game, from scratch and distribute it to early teens and schools that would like to teach this, possibly even a range of other various educational style games.

I will keep everyone posted with the new Unity game, and keep a developer blog of sorts to allow users to interact with the development,

As I've said before, this is pretty amazing work.
I could suggest perhaps maybe floating fireflies to illuminate the atmosphere or add color contrast to the world. =D

We've all got our projects that show where we've come from, and we always start projects early. As a natural species (known commonly as.. 'modders') we have a natural tendency to learn from bad or malnourished projects.

Don't be ashamed of it. Instead, use it to your advantage, use it as a 'what not to do.' and any major ideas or concepts you've had for that mod, try and incorporate it in better projects.

Trial and error is the game. We're just the players.
Don't lose hope.

I gotta be honest with you man. You really need to take advice of the people below. As D3ads said, Don't try to run before you can walk.

Modding is a hard thing to do, your taking on a concept of re-making an entire game by yourself without learning the fundamental skills to working with the Source engine, or by the looks of it any other engine.

I suggest you open up Source SDK, and start learning the tools in depth before you start making a mod. It's hard work, and theres a lot you need to learn first. Wait a year or two before making a mod and make sure you know your skills inside and out.

I quite love the new green feel - add's a new feel and makes things more interesting and fresh. As for the site's need? I agree with most people up above saying indie games have been 'buried' under it all on Moddb. IndieDB has not only opened up a new world for most users. But it has inspired me to start working on my first indie game as opposed to a Mod traditionally.

You certainly are an optimistic person my friend. There was an entire script written for this game, and I still have the 20 pages of it including the ending in my filing cabinet. But I suppose you are right, this was definitely one of the simpler concepts I've had for a game - and if I do intend to finish it, like I do all the concepts and projects I create. It will certainly not be soon..

Apologies to everyone who had shown interest in this project, but I simply do not have the time to finish the project - at least not on my own.

Very reflective like Feillyne said. I've read the paragrah and closed my eyes, to see if I could put myself in that position - and I can definitely see it. Although it seems to not show enough of the 'war' side. There are rumbles, but I'd like to hear more that would indicate it more as a war than perhaps.. a storm?

This mod was created to show teachers that games can be used as a learning tool in teaching students. If you cannot see that concept, then I suggest you leave, The mod did not take 20 minutes to make, Overall development time specifically for the mod took 25-30 days, that includes level design, i/o systems, triggers, choreography and programming.

The remaining two months were tests on students, and research on the concept of bullying.

Please at least have the courtesy and intelligence to give a correct comment next time.

The overall mod, if presented to be released to students, would obviously have content that would make the engine 15+ taken out. Alternatively the game could be aimed at 3rd year - 6th year students (15-18). The project itself was simply to show that games can in fact be used as a teaching tool.

Sorry, as of yet Microbrush 2 is not yet supported with UDK. Shrinker (developer of MB2) has tried countless of times to get me to make one.. I don't know any programming.. lol
