Its called persistence man. Plus a lot of hours without sleep. Plus I didn't say I was at pripyat, I said I was almost ready to head there. Didn't spend countless hours doing side missions. Mainly focused on getting money together for decent bits. once I'm in pripyat I can worry about doin the side quest's. Just means travelling back.

The rating is going down because people are not liking the fact they cant last more than a couple of seconds. Even though it wwas stated before release that it was going to be one of the most difficult games, they seemed to be under the impression it was going to be a 'little' bit harder than the first.

Its been doing my skull in having to reload saves because I keep getting killed too. But I see no reason to rag on it. Just need to rethink tactics is all.

Im almost ready to head to pripyat as it stands. And that was no easy feat.

I got around that problem by quick saving, then manually loading the quicksave after death.

Just a quick little trick for those doing more mutant hunting. Shotguns are probably your best option. I have been able to take them down with 2 shots. 1 to the face as they run in, then a quick sidestep+jump so as to dodge the ramming, And then a clean shot in the side.
Works a treat for me against the lower level mutants.
Not sure about things like Bloodsuckers and the like. I haven't had the balls to go near em yet, lol.

But hopefully this will aid hunters with the taking down of their chosen prey. Can make good money too.

Well, Ive never handed it over. But apparently it was a problem with the vanilla for a while aswell. Had a few mates have a cry over it. I told em to just wipp out the ol' shotty and paint the boat with them. Seemed to stop the tears.

Seeing a lot of people complaining about this mod..... WTF! I guess you only ever played ANY of the series on Novice then. Yes, its frustrating to take a cpl of steps and get your *** chewed of by a mutey. Yes, a bullet in your *** is going to hurt. And Yes, it seems everyone is out to bleed you dry of that little bit of money you've managed to scrape together. NO ONE said this was going to be easy. In fact, Im pretty sure it was made clear that this would be a rather difficult version. Honestly, what did you expect. Faries and Fluffy White Bunnies. If so, go play 'My Little Pony'.

Guy's, In my OWN opinion, You've taken what for me was once a very 'BLAH' game and made it more than I could have hoped for. Its gonna take me fekkin ages to finish.

click on assaulter class to open up the selection option. you should get a message sayin the 'fsgame.ltx' has been altered, and the game needs to restart.

HOLY BUTT-KICKING BRADY BUNCH BATMAN! Started the game, looked around, began to walk to the boat....... BAM! killed by a mutant with the first 3 minutes.......

You put the entire folder labeled 'Textures' into the game data folder. There is no existing folder because it IS the texture folder.
you will find it in the DATA folder of part 1.

Still downloading. Alot of people grabbing this I see. About 5 1/2 more hours at 27-34kb/s.

Fekkin midday here at the moment. Still, cant start the download until 10pm. Provided its up. gives me time to get some vodka, sit by the fire and regail my children with tales of how I took down a controller in the tunnel with only my trusty under-over shotgun. They love that one.

Considering I like to hunt in the stalker games, and getting up close and personal with people has really never been my thing, Ima have to go with the Sniper class. That way the only times I'll need to go near people will be to loot their rotting corpse or sell the stuff Ive looted. Plus I do love my bolt action rifles. No mindless spamming, just precision and timing.

Trust me, The Galaxy S3 ain't nothing to be exited about.

The sniper is proficient with a shotgun for 2 reason I think. 1. The hunting aspect, nuffin better than droppin a big *** mutey chargin towards ya with 1 clean scatter shot to da face. And 2. A sniper cant always rely on having the time to aim, when running from an enemy that's getting close you cant exactly ask em to back up and wait a sec while u steady your rifle and line em up. So even if the shot doesn't kill them a shotgun is a wise choice. I mean, hell, its hard to chase someone with blood ****** out the holes in your legs now aint it.

Turns out my missus was bein a harsh creature. She put the date on my comp forward a day cos I wouldn't shut up about waitin for this mod. Thought she'd give me a little misery of her own.

I have but one query. Is the 3rd person perspective truly useable. ie: can u 'true aim' and shoot in 3rd person. Was not able to with previous version. Every time I turned to shoot something in 3rd person it would shoot in the direction I was facing when I entered 3rd.

Another alternative would be a hotkey to auto-equip a pistol or sawn-off. Don't think it would take much scripting to achieve, just a chunk of patience.

OMG, OMG, OMG. Just a cpl more days to go. The suspense in fekkin killin me. Ive already set my rig up in the loneliest, darkest, most secluded room in the house in preparation(so as to save disturbances from small children and frightened wives).
