here, i took a few pictures of my M1. you can see how bad the cod2 model is.

understandable.
it just hurts me, with all of my american pride, to see the greatest battle rifle of all time ugly and disfigured.

the m1garand from WaW looks best out of all the cods.

it just looks wrong.
i own a garand you know.
the whole model looks distorted.
the sights look completely wrong, the barrel sticks out to far from the gas tap, it looks like it has a blank adaptor.
the handguard bands stick out too much. the front of the main stock is too thick.
it really hurts me to look at it.

black ops and skyrim had updates to make them more stable on 2 core pcs.
for while black ops wouldn't run on anything less than 4 cores.

pea-dot helmet covers dont exist. never made.
only oakleaf and splinter.

yes, i have reskins for all of them.
for the cloth helmet, i made it in ss camo and wehrmacht splinter camo. the ss camo cover i have in my waw elite mod is crap, and i still havent updated it with my newer spring and autum camo textures.

for just blank m40 helmets i have made black and about 10 different shades of field gray/green.

are you going to import the panzer grenadiers in the future?

i think it was in 1943 they stopped adding decals altogether.
but that would only apply to new helmets made in 1943, so blank helmets would be somewhat rare.

btw, were you still thinking about adding a luftwaffe officer cap?
i sent you one i made in waw, but i could make one using the cod2 cap model.

they look great, but tri-color shields were omitted in 1940,
cod2 in normandy takes place in 1944.
Ofc plenty of helmets had duel decals til the end of the war,
but i think helmets with just the flying eagle were more common.

i think 4gb is recomended minimum for gaming on win7.

I know my rifle isn't a standard 98

It was made in austria by steyr for the german army
The bolt is made in poland, the rest of the rifle is made in austria.
660 on the reciver, meaning steyr, and the date 1940
Its rarer than normal 98ks, and it isn't a reworked wz.28
The wz28 would be crossed out and g29/40 stamped next to it.
other than g29/40, it is identical to a german 98k.

To partially reload an m1, you have to hold the bolt back with your right hand while pushing
the clip realease with your left thumb. The cilp and any rounds left will pop out.
The bolt will then lock back, ready for a new clip.
Its akward to do and inefficient. I've tried it a few times with my m1.
Not sure how you would animate this but I don't think its worth it.

oh im sorry, the BAR does fire with an open bolt, the charging handle returns forward.

about the mod, are you going to rework the reload anim and model for the m1 garand? both are wrong. i can tell you reloading the m1 does not look as smooth as that. after pushing in the clip the bolt sticks, held by the friction of the rounds packed in the en bloc, you have to push the bolt foward till it overcomes this friction. i have done it many times.

cod2 big red one got this anim most correct.

also the bar and mp44 fire with closed bolts, not open. and the bar's charging handle does not recoil with the bolt.

yes i have many clips for my mauser 98k, and they are very easy to use, very smooth.

Mosin clips on the otherhand, suck. i bought a few and tried them in my mn1891/30, and i couldnt get them to work smoothly at all, i gave up and just went back to loading 1 at a time. maybe its just my peticular rifle, or me, but id rather have extra mags for an svt40.
using strippers in a g43 is alright with me though.

also, the SMLE has a detachable mag, but you load that with 2 strippers, right?

Meaning, under ideal circumstances, You get 3 mags, one in the rifle, 2 on your belt.

this is true for all armies, you go into battle with as many magazines and clips as you can carry, you dont need an empty pouch for the mag in your rifle.

2mags one pouch, saves room on your belt

It would be logical to cut it in half, you have 2 mags, one in your rifle
one on your belt. cutting it in half you would have less clutter on your belt.

While were on the note of german equipment, in the mod are you guys trying to script so guys have the right equipment for the gun their using? ie, stg44 guy has stg44 mag pouches.
i know this is possible in WaW as i have done it.
