Left 4 Dead
Truth be told, the map from the first two shots was the first map I made almost 2 years ago. Which is why I'm going back and updating it.
Left 4 Dead isn't being ported over to the HL2 engine. As you put it, its not a good idea. Survival 101 is being ported to L4D engine
They aren't pointing out "changes". They are simply criticizing one picture based on how big the room is. I will post some more shots of some rooms that are full of **** to satisfy everyones need to be cramped in junk. So comparing the Dead Air Finale which was wide open, to the Blood Harvest, which was harder? Being cramped in that small farmhouse was easy as hell to defend. Dead Air is another story however. Having more direction for zombies to run at you from is more of a means for ramping up the difficulty level.
To answer address another issue, there is no modifications being made to Left 4 Dead. Left 4 Dead is exactly the type of realism I want in Survival 101, which is why I'm only making maps for it. JUST MAPS, NO MODIFICATIONS. Survival 101 maps are going to be made into Left 4 Dead maps.
Yes it's playable in co-op and singleplayer. As long as the people your playing with have the map.
Hate to tell everyone, but the maps aren't done yet. While I do appreciate the constructive criticism, it really isn't quite time for it yet until you play through the maps.
And yes the light does need to be tuned.

Thanks for the feedback. No one has pointed out a few of those map glitches. NPC damage is something that I've tweaked for the next release to make things a bit harder for the player. I'll get on fixing those map glitches right away though.
Gotta find out what their for yourself. You guys need to stop cheating, lol. The mod would scare you alot more if you didn't cheat.
Thanks for the feedback sleepy. It's not actually my voice. I may have to get a new voice actor because he's british and I think alot of the American players are having a rough time hearing what he's saying. You'll see in 0.6 I've accompanied the voice with a game_text entity to tell you exactly where you need to go.
Thanks alot ghostkill. I know I definitely need to spruce things up in the detail department. This was just me screwing around one day and it kinda turned into something. The next release will definitely include more detail and the maps will be much more refined.
Well you definitely have a point there. That first map was the first map I've ever made truthfully, and my voice actor is british. On MOST of the voice overs for 0.6 I added a game_text to go along with the trigger that set the sound off. Should have helped somewhat. But thanks for your opinion.
I know. Unfortunately I'm no modeler. Talking to some certain people about using their models now. Waiting to hear back from em. If anyone wants to go to the trouble to make some models, animations, and sounds then they are welcome to and will get credit for it.

No MP..yet. Not quite sure how that would work beyond co-op. It's a vague idea. Who knows, you may see it.
Reskinning and/or remodeling zombies is something I'm looking into. Unfortunately I'm no modeler. Any help is welcome.
Unfortunately for both of us some of those idea's aren't all that realistic and couldn't be accomplished without some serious coding. However I've already noted about Adsy's voice being too low when you meet him. Right now it's looking like the version I release in a few days will not include our friend due to too many problems with the AI. You'll speak with Adsy solely over the radio.
Thanks for the positive review Killer. I'll note that more pistol ammo is needed at that point. I think health packs may be a little scarce too. Remember to give the mod a numerical rating based on how much you liked it!!
exit the library and go right, you should find a door that looks like its a part of the wall. It's where the soldiers came from.
