I've tried it on skirmish and multiplayer. First I noticed that when I played against an AI in skirmish as Core, I wanted to protect my line of defense by shield generators. But they turned out useless when the Arm AI started bombarding me with stationary big berthas. And when they built the Armageddon, the shields stood no chance.

I tried this later in a similar game (but I was Arm and AI Core). The Arm shields deflected all intimidator shells and the BFG did minimum damage to the generator structure itself.

So I linked up 2 computest and wanted to test both shields. (Yes I played TA against myself :) ) And the result was similar. Core Corona was useless and the Aegis wothout a scratch when fired on with long range artilery weapons. The Aegis even sihelded off a direct hit by a nuke without problems. The Corona didn't.

+ another difference: A enemy unit can easily fire while inside the corona shield when it walks through. But not in Aegis. When an enemy unit gets inside the arm shield ( I tried it with all sorts of units even the C.O.R.E.) and its shots were defected even when it was fully inside the Aegis shield.

Was this helpful or do you need any other information? Because these differences are radical and can make the game pretty imbalanced.

Thanks fot the reply.

Why is tie Core Corona a lot, and I mean a LOT, less effective than the Arm equivalent? The Aegis can easily deflect a B.F.G. shell and take minimum damage but the Corona has problems even with ordinary BB shells.

Is this intended or going to be fixed? (I play TA:ESC 4.1)

Why is the core Corona (shield generator) a lot, and I mean a LOT, less effective than the arm equivalent? The Aegis can easily stop a B.F.G. shell and taking minimum damage, but the Corona has problems with ordinary Bertha shells.

Is this something that should be or will this be fixed in the upcoming versions?

Thanx for the reply.
