Can this mod work with Single Player? I just want the effects, they would improve the standard story quite well i feel. :)

I've played a few rounds. The mod has developed realy well. I want to thank the man/woman responsible for the sound design. The sounds of blasters are much better than they were before and fit the setting and there is a big diversity. Thank you for that. New shooting mechanincs make for a dynamic and yet not over the top gameplay. I have only two issues with it.

Firstly why the Rebel blaster rifles shoot green bolts? I don't know why this was a design choice, but it breaks immersion to me.

Secondly, both Jedi and Sith are very few during the Galactic Civil war era. Some did survive the Order 66, but that doesn't make sense when you put them into the game in such numbers.

First of all this game is not realistic at Inf combat. No inf unit is grouped into one squad of 6 with no spacing just to get hit with one mortar round. Mortars are OP as hell and just ruin any kind of Inf combat, as most units get obliterated with one shot that cost you nothing. Also, accuracy and aim time of said mortars is even less realistic than the in behaviour in such situations.

The MG42 was a very good MG, no doubt. But it should not be able to kill so well in this game, or Make .50 cal and .30cal MGs just as good at killing. There is no difference between a 7,62mm bullet going through your lungs and 7,92mm bullet doing the same thing. MG42 should be just better at suppressing units. Think game mechanics at that point. Realy it just kills everyone at any position, even taking out units behind Green cover and in buildings. Too much DPS.

I am playing this mod since 2 years ago, and nothing changes mate. Reality is that cost effectivenss of German units is so overwhelming that you cannot just throw 5 Shermans at one tiger. It will destroy all of them without taking damage and Panzershreck units just run around like madman tanking damage. Look at knights cross units. They can tank a sniper shot to the head. German units have too much health period. Make allied units more expensive by all means... but at the same time nerf all the German units as they have nothing to do with realism. You can depend on German units, you cannot depend on US or British units. You have to be mad to not see that.

About the PzIV. Yesterday and 2 days ago and a week ago I had 1v1 fights of M4A2E2 Sherman Jumbo with M1 76mm against a PzIVH. In all those fights, even though using HVAP ammo (that costs 75 ammo) I was not able to win. 150mm of sloped steel of Sherman tank was penetrated with ease (2 or 3 shots at best) by Pz4H and I was able to penetrate only once or just miss every time.

Do you know how much PzIVD and E have armour protection? LOL. Obviously you don't. Pz IVD had 30mm(that is 1 a little more than 1 inch to you) at thickest point on the hull and 15mm elsewhere. It is the 1940 tank we are talking about and Germans never had armour that could not be penetrated by US guns ON EVERY TANK. Tiger can be penetrated by M1 76mm gun from 500m from the front. That is below standard ranges on eastern front, but well in reality of western Normandy scenarios. You have no idea how tank armour works and the only German tanks in this game with sloped armour are Sd.Kfz.171 PzV Panther and Sd.Kfz. 182 PzVIB TigerII (you will know it as kingtiger)

I know much more about that stuff than you. PzIVD and E are match boxes compared to Sherman tank.

You say 4inches. That is 101mm. It is close to Tiger's 102mm of frontal armour... but German PzIVD had 30mm in front and PzIVH had front 80mm, but 50mm on the turret. Well in range of even M4A2 Sherman with 75mm and most importatly with 76mm gun.

Also, Sherman was never paper-thin. German guns were just too good to counter, while retaining the mobility. That is why I am not complaining about armour thickness of allied tanks, just German tanks are too resistant to damage.

I would need 5 A4 Pages to just tell you how little you know about tank armour and armoured warfare on Western Front.

Still no fixes that would make the mod enjoyable. Nerf the damn mortars and Grenades already... oh and make Germans less powerful for once. MG42 is destroying any inf unit at any range and German tanks like PzIVD and E can ricochet a Sherman's 75mm and 76mm guns like if it was nothing... they should not ricochet anything but the first and M3 37mm and Boys for that matter. Also, fraking Sherman tanks are underpowered with their AP. They should have no problems with penetrating PzIVs. Get some facts right. Here is a table of Armour penetration: Amizaur.prv.pl


Actually... Nerf all the MG42s on vehicles, they are ridiculous! Motocycles can just roll over Inf units that don't have building as a cover...

...well who am I kidding... Germany afterall won the war right?
