Funny enough on this picture it reminds me a lot of this SMG: Crysis.wikia.com
The one on the picture reminds me more of a Steyr than anything. Perhaps its the bullpup type weapon with magazine on the back that has this effect.

I'm working on a movie with him, but I was tasked with making a rifle and really liked the bullpup design. So I made my own version with these features.
Ah I see. Well even though it looks similar in design and functionality your style is more sleek compared to his rifle. Though he does get points for realism I suppose.
Looking good mate! Love the forward grip. Are those rails for attachements or just for the looks? Otherwise I'd extend them out, put a full length rail on top so you can hook up your scopes/sights realisticaly. Asgarddefense.com
I know you're working on this and it's still early but I would consider modelling elements like a safety/selector switch and mag release. Such elements will realy sell it being a functional firearm. :) Looking forward to what your textures and shading will look like!
