I've been going around as a writer, but started getting drawn into Concept Art and 3D modeling. I'm currently finishing my studies as a 3D artist and will then be let loose on the world. Beware!
these are ambient occlusion renders on which I'll try out my new way of making "realistic" concepts. One of the difficulties with painting: perspective is taken out of the equasion, when I work with models I made. We'll see how that goes. I'll start painting over and document the process in update pictures. The plan is to make a tutorial out of this - my first one in concept art. Hope it'll help some people and I'll learn something, too.
I love it! This is something I was trying to do with concept art. You can get more realistic concepts from models and 3D lighting than a drawing. Very cool, I'm excited to see your final product
I'll probably make two different scenes to display how variable this way of making concept art ist. I like it a lot, too. Since I'm training modeling at the workshop I attend, I hope to find more and better ways to visualize ideas in the future.
