Hmm, I haven't tried this mod yet, but what I didn't like about Misery was how every trader always had the same items. They never had anything new and they would just restock everything you bought.

Does this change that?

Hey N.Aaroe, I've been following the development of this mod ever since it was announced and I love it.
I think it really nails down your philosophy of "a simple man struggling to survive in a dangerous world".

However I wanted to talk about something a little straight forward.
I don't like the idea of aiming down scopes completely blocking your peripheral vision. That's not realistic and it makes me want to avoid using them completely. I know it's a design choice because your peripheral vision zooming in with the scope doesn't look good either, but it's far better.
I don't like the way some of the vanilla weapons have been changed. Especially the FN2000, to me, without the standard telescopic scope, it just doesn't feel authentic. The feel of authenticity is extremely important when modding the game. That's the biggest problem I have with the weapons. Most weapons added with this mod don't feel like they belong to the game. While the vanilla weapons mostly resemble their unmodded counterparts, the added ones feel like from a completely different game. I think it's very important to design them in a way you would imagine the original developers to design them.

There were exceptions like the OC-33, AK-105 and AKM, those were probably the only added weapons I wanted to use. But there's yet another problem: Animations. What boggles me is the fact that the animations are clearly designed for the default field of view, yet your installer opts to use a higher field of view. This is very obvious with the VSK-94 and the AKM where the animation doesn't actually pull the receiver down, just simply makes the sound because the receiver would be out of your vision with the default field of view. Or the magazine you take out doesn't go out of your vision so it looks like you're putting in the same magazine.

I hope you don't take this comment as harsh criticism because I really do love the mod and I hope you take your time with 2.0. Highly looking forward to it.

Is it possible that you could make the modifications on your gear more balanced, rather than just a direct upgrade with no drawbacks?

Like, more fire rate in exchange for less accuracy and vice versa.
Just an idea because I never really liked the way modifications worked.
It would allow you to personalize your weapon rather than just turning it into a killing machine that can do anything.

Oh and weapons and armor in general should be much more expensive, so expensive that you'd rather go outside during the night and hope you'll find a new shooter from a dead stalker.
Or hope you spot a bandit patrol with some high-end weapons.

Just some ideas coming to my mind because I'm very excited for this mod.

Nice work. Sadly there are no real forests in Call of Pripyat.

Also, can you upload the loading screens from IWA 1.2 as wallpapers? (without watermarks if possible)
They just look so pretty.

I would love to see a good old H&K G3. Without a doubt one of my favorites.
Such amounts of firepower wrapped up in such a simplistic design.
And as you probably know it uses 7.62 x 51 mm NATO rounds.

And another suggestion I had in mind was the RK-62, I know that Finnish people would love it.
Uses the same old 7,62x39 mm.

I don't know whether or not you appreciate all these suggestions but I completely stopped playing CoP just to get the best out of this mod. :)

I know this isn't probably the final list of weapons, but I sincerely hope there are going to be more SMG's.

A Scorpion for example would fit the Zone very well.
