EDIT: I have read some of the reviews and it seems that I am the only one with these problems.

you have a funny idea about easy mode

I tried to conquer the first planet i encountered when I started and it had 40+ ships while I had 2 ships with a dozen fighters(as starter).

And the ships are overpowerd. In skirmish it took 4 star destroyers to take down 1 frigate while the enemy takes down destroyer after destroyer with fighters and frigates.

it might be that I don't understand the mod yet but I was surprised how difficult everything was on easy.

Still, it is amazing how good everything looks and all the new units are cool.
