I've already tried all that, I can't get it to work. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be any option for people with Macs to play.

Is there a way to make this mod work on a MacBook? Getting Bootcamp and Wine to work has been weeks of headache and it doesn't seem to want to work. No, I am not running Catalina, I am using Mojave.

Does anyone know a way to get this mod working on a Mac? Any insight would be greatly appreciated, I am desperate to play this thing!

Small request: can the Mordor war chant/orc horn spell book power use the audio from this scene Youtube.com

It would add a touch of that distinguishing detail to the Mordor faction and is just an epic chant. Anyway, keep up the fantastic work, this mod is exemplary!

That reworked Dol-Amroth and Pelargir are some of the best maps I’ve seen in any modern RTS! The Rohan/Rivendell/Dol-Guldur factions all look and sound phenomenal and I can’t recall the Mordor faction looking better in any other LotR game. Well done, this team routinely goes above-and-beyond and the BfME/LotR fans love you for it. Hope 2020 is full of success for all of you! #ModOfTheYear

I just want to give an ENORMOUS THANK YOU to the developers and contributors of this project. It is a massive undertaking as you are essentially building the game from the ground up all over again. The most recent campaign missions have been utterly spectacular, and put the campaigns of the originals to shame. The diversity of units, the unique special powers, the different leadership modifiers, the voice files and the models, it is all stellar. This mod is what I had wished BFME would have been upon release. The Mordor faction is my favourite so far, I still can’t believe how incredible things as simple as the orc banners look (the Morgul Orcs and Easterling models deserve special mentions as well). The recent Osgiliath mini mission from your campaign was immensely satisfying, it’s exactly what I imagined an actual battle in Osgiliath would look and feel like. It is obvious you care greatly about the lore itself and go out of your way to incorporate it into the game. And it is all pretty well-balanced, all things considered. Every faction starts out with access to some form of archer, pikemen, or swordsman and specializes from there; such as Mordor specializing into heavy infantry orcs/men or monsters/siege or Rohan specializing into some powerful and diverse cavalry. You have this fan’s eternal gratitude, you have crafted the LotR game of my dreams. Keep up the amazing work!

Honestly, the Mordor orc units are perfect as is. They have great buffs between the horde bonus, orc horn power, mark of the ready eye (rank 2), and being able to combine their battalions. Throw in a drummer troll and/or the Mouth of Sauron/Gothmog for leadership and you get a pretty great army. And that's not even mentioning how strong you can get the Morgul Orcs and Black Uruks to be using the same strategy, especially since those two units have access to upgrades!

I am sad to see the mumakil leave Mordor though. It would be better that the Haradrim archers at least stay in the faction. There should be a little Southron presence for Mordor to stay true to the lore.

Actually, any design that resembles the Morgul Orcs and their armour configuration would be unreal!

This mod just keeps on looking more incredible! Thanks for all your hard work on it so far, we fans cannot wait to get our hands on it!

As far as suggestions go, I have one: would it be possible to have some elite orc units for Mordor? Something akin to the black Uruk marauders or the Morgul orcs from the age of the ring mod? Even just some spammable orc pikemen so that Mordor has access to pikemen without needing to get expensive Easterlings and can counter cavalry in early game. Work on Mordor units is probably a very long way off but some type of elite unit for the orcs would be awesome, especially if you could combine it with a “call the horde” type of power.

Looking forward to more from this mod!!

I don’t think this is really a mod, it’s an entirely new game. They’re doing it on a new engine so the code had to be rewritten from scratch. Should still be great and I’m sure they’ll update the game mechanics. Actually, I would love if the Age of the Ring mod (which is already beyond amazing) got the Reforged treatment

Talking about the Age of the Ring mod. BFME: Reforged uses some of their models and credit should be given where it is due. I would recommend checking out the Age of the Ring mod, those guys have crafted some incredible models and implemented great game mechanics!

Now this right here has the potential to be something incredibly special! I have always dreamed of the battle for middle-earth being redone with a much stronger engine. Will it support 60 fps?

Any word on just how much the Eye of Sauron will boost Mordor units and debuff enemies? Amazing to see it as a 25-point power, theres some serious potential for all sorts of end-game pushes with Mordor now!

Saw The Destroyer001's demo of version 3.0 today, it looks magnificent! The dwarven structures have such a unique design and their infantry all looks as sturdy as the dwarves themselves. Awesome designs on the men of Dale and the Bardings, richly garbed. The Wyrm slayers look amazing too! Can't wait to see more of this patch and mod :)

Will Rohan be next?

Agreed, it's an excellent mechanic and so happy they've brought it back. Makes it easy to defend your archers or melee troops with pikemen when you're in a pinch. Just have the units combine to form ranks instead of maneuvering them around each other!

Have you guys heard of "The Battle for Middle-Earth: Reforged"? It's a project that is redoing BFME 2 using the Unreal Engine 4. Would love to see your incredibly well-crafted models combined with the power of the Unreal Engine 4! It looks very slick but could use the modelling and programming skills of the Age of the Ring team!

By the way, as a, ENORMOUS fan of BFME since the original 2004 game, I want to give all the people who have worked on the Age of the Ring mod my deepest and sincerest gratitude! You have breathed new life into this game and made it into everything that it should have been. Developers of all types of games should be able to look at this mod for evidence that you can make something that people will love as long as you put passion, effort, and dedication into it.

You have all made me start saving up for my own desktop (been working off only a laptop for over a decade now) so that I can join into the battle with you all!

PS. Age of the Ring Mordor faction rules!!! Love what you have done with all the units, powers, heroes, and beautifully designed structures! The Morgul Orcs and the Easterling Kataphracts are my absolute favourite units so far (along with the Olog-hai and their new war hammers...hell, everything looks magnificent)!!

PPS. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BRINGING BACK COMBINING UNITS!!!! Great mechanic from the first game, so happy to see it finally return!!!
