Description

Who would have guessed the Bithynians would have been so much trouble?

Here's what's going on in my Trojan campaign:

Athens declares war on the Odrysian Kingdom, my satrap, they call in Sparta for help and I pick to side with my satrap as any benevolent ruler would. This causes a radical shift in my standing with other nations who support Athens and Sparta.

While Odrysia, Athens and Sparta go back and forth over a few territories I arm a new army, having used another to bring down the mighty Galatians and my treacherous Seleucid satrap. Pontus declares war on me but I sweep over its territory and liberate Colchis to act as a buffer between me and the growing Scythian horde. Out of nowhere the Bithynians invade and they strike hard. Hordes of expendable infantry wash over my cities without tact often leading to units routing while still at near full strength.

Eventually I wipe them out but a Pontus resurgences with a mercenary army sweeps over my lands while my second army liberates Tylis. Tylis declares war on Odrysia, I subjugate Tylis and they continue to struggle for land against Athens and Sparta while I crush Pontus for a final time.

All in all a costly war. All because I stood up for the little guy against the spoiled Athenians and their brute allies of Sparta.
